TV helps me sleep. I can't sleep in total silence. And yeah, I use the timer.

I have a REALLY bad habit of falling asleep with the tv on and then waking up hours later, sometimes even the next morning, to find that it's still on. I
try to remember the sleep timer, but I swear every time I have I'm always awake and the middle of watching something when it turns off

I used to not be able to fall asleep for ANYTHING with the tv on, but somehow over time I've acclimated until now I really have trouble without the TV. AND
my fan.

I usually go to bed with the tv still on. I've always had some sort of thing playing in the background as I'm laying in bed..be it the tv or radio/cd
player.
With the tv, I set a timer of 30 minutes, reset if I'm not fully asleep by the time the 2 minute timer comes up. Back when I used to listen to music, I had it playing all through the night and it never bothered me. I've always had to have some sort of noise in the background before bedtime. |

That's the only way I can fall asleep.

I have to fall asleep with the TV on, I can't fall asleep in total silence. I set the sleep timer for like an hour or two past when I'm going to bed.
And sometimes if I wake up in the middle of the night I have to turn the TV back on to fall back asleep.

I can't fall asleep without the TV on AT ALL. I will try sometimes just to see. But it's just the pitch blackness and the silence that creeps me out.
I am definitely more relaxed and at ease with the TV on.

I used to always sleep with it on. It was just comforting until my grandfather moved in complained about radiation

I can't fall asleep without the TV so, I always set the sleep timer. It's so great.

I was absolutely one of those people that could not sleep with the TV on. This my boyfriend (now ex) and I moved in together and couldn't sleep without it
on, so I just adapted. Now I can't sleep without it on.
Although, I used to get so mad because he would always stay up later than I would and so he'd leave it on these channels that play those scary things at night. I used to wake up in the middle of the night all the time scared shitless because what was on TV had gone to my dreams. It was terrible. Haha. |

My mom sleeps with her tv on because she needs the light from it. Kind of a comfort for her. I'm the opposite...I need sound, so my radio/iPod stays on all
night

my TV needs to be on a channel that doesnt flicker/flash too much. This started after i saw the movie "Quarantine"
My Itouch has an app called white noise and i set it to "heavy rain" Im just a scaredy cat. I dont need the TV or white noise on when i spend the night with SO though. |
