Someone told me that in Texas you have to do a profile shot...or like a half profile shot kind of thing. Is that true?

I smiled in my passport picture because I figured if I died in some spectacular manner while traveling that'd be the picture the media uses, and I
didn't want to look unhappy.

I always smile big in my dl pictures and I'm pretty sure it's the main reason I've gotten out of so many tickets.

In Ontario we can't smile in our pictures, I just assumed this is what it was like throughout North America

wtf? I got my license renewed back in October and the lady was like "ok, smile". I smiled slightly and she was like "looks good".

I smiled in both my DL and passport pictures. Nobody ever told me otherwise.

I didn't smile in my last drivers license picture and now my drivers license picture seriously looks like a mug shot. I want to go back and get it re-done
because it looks so bad.

I smiled in my DL photo. I was so happy to finally have passed my driving test that it would have been hard not to. I get lots of compliments from bouncers and
bartenders.
I think Jersey has profile shots for people under 21. My college roommate had that and I thought it was odd. |

You can't smile in the new Federal govt. employee IDs either. The computer that they use has a system that rejects the picture if it looks like you are
smiling (seriously, that happened to me)

Pliant Pineapple wrote:lol. Kind of a side thought - but I always think about this kind of thing whenever I watch shows (Dateline, 20/20) on missing people and they have all these pictures of them. I assume the person's family or friends gave them all the pictures and I wonder which ones they would use if that happened to me. It's like I want to set aside pictures and be like "ok, when I go missing or someone kills me...use these pictures!" |
