My husband and I are thinking about trying. However, we are planning on a November vacation to Disneyworld. We already planned on me being pregnant on
vacation because we don't want to wait until after to start, it'd be too long for us. We are planning on taking 2 kids with us, so we wouldn't be
able to ride the rides together anyway.
My question is, starting what month of the pregnancy are expectant mothers advised not to fly? I don't want to start too early and not be able to do the
vacation.
Thanks!

It really depends on your pregnancy and your doctor-I flew in my 7th month and had no problems. Just depends |

Well I haven't been pregnant but my sister was and she wasn't allowed to fly after her 4th month because she had big problems with her blood pressure.

I think @ 8 mos you need a letter from your dr. Or maybe 32 wks I don't remember.
Just know that at each stage there are considerations to take- walking/stretching, staying hydrated, staying comfortable, possibly getting sick and nausea etc. But that all being said it's not a biggie and should be no problem. Don't stress it. Actually don't stress trying either as that can inhibit conception. Good luck & have fun! |

Well, since we'll have a 5yr old and an 8yr old with us, we'll have to constantly rest anyways, so resting will be no problem.
If my husband and I started in June, at the most (depending on if we're successful) I'll be 5 months by November. (If I did my math right...) |

At Disney? Honestly, all of the kids I know get hyped at the thought of Disney.
Yes, If you get pregnant right away you'll be roughly 5-6 mos and should be in your 2nd tri and have the most energy. It might take a few cycles though to get pregnant. I suggest the book Taking Charge of your Fertility and the site Fertilityfriend.com |

Well, we take them to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg all the time where we live, and by the end of the day they're tired. So we want to store their energy
because we'll not only be doing Disney, but Universal and Seaworld. We'll be down there for 10 days...so we need to keep their energy reserved, lol.
hmm...i'll have to check out that website. thanks! |

I've posted pregnancy questions before, maybe the same one. But it was so long ago that I can't remember what was said.

I was there during both pregnancies, and I flew at about 6-7 months pregnant. Lots of walking and hot, though.

It really just depends on how your pregnancy goes...If it is a normal pregnancy with no problems, you can usually fly up to @ 7 months....I'd just be
careful spending alot fo money on the vacation given you may not be able to go, maybe get insurance on it??

Forget being pregnant...you're going to Florida during hurricane season? Good luck with that.

It'll be around the end of Hurricane season. lol.
And we won't be purchasing any theme park tickets until we are ready to leave, so that won't be a problem. and the same with the hotel. The only thing we'd need insurance on is our plane tickets. But I'mg oing to get them directly through southwest. And if something happens to where we can't go, I'll cancel the flight. With southwest, I have a year to use the credit (a year from the purchase date though, not the travel date.) |

Some airlines won't let you fly after a certain point. I couldn't go on my cruise because they won't let anyone on it after 4 months, those
bastards. I think you have to get doctor approval, but I believe it's only in your third trimester.

One of the OBs at my work suggests that her patients not fly after 28 weeks.

That post was about riding theme park rides, not flying. Besides, it was made months ago. Does it really matter though?
Thanks to all who answered my question! |
