Kate is pathetic, she is pouring blame on Jon and trying to make him look like a dead-beat dad. She admitted to traveling alot, she must have known all the
glitz would cause a problem in their marriage. She treats Jon sooo bad like a house help, I can not stand her. On her own, I don't know who will be
watching her bitch around. I don't see that marriage surviving, clearly Jon is tired of the spotlight but Kate loves it and wont give it up. Good for Jon
he deserves better.

i kinda wish they'd end it, so they can work on themselves....and when they were on that couch, they weren't making eye contact. i'm wondering if
they're like...living on opposite ends of the house.

So....I caught the ending of the episode tonight. To me, It's so completely sad to see a divorce (because this is what this season is going to be about)
actually happening and playing out.
Even though both are to blame on different levels, it does still suck to watch two people who loved each other enough to create a family, and because of choices they made, it fell apart. While I do believe a lot of the fame troubled and changing lands on Kate's shoulders, I think Jon should have stepped up more and fought. However, while it's tough to watch. I hope they both do what's best for the children, don't turn it into a nasty custody battle, and the public starts to understand that while we may not agree with how they got to the divorce, staying in an unhappy marriage where you two are not on the same page anymore is not healthy. (Disclaimer: That does not mean give up on marriage when it's hard.) |

What an awkward episode. Kate is coming across so fake. Maybe it's just me but I can't take her seriously. The kids interact very differently with the
two parents. It's clear that Jon is the one who is home with them and takes care of them -- the scene with him and his daughter was so cute. Whereas
whenever I see Kate with the kids, she always makes it seem like such a chore to interact with them. I don't doubt that they love both their parents but
... it just seems like a more natural relationship with their dad.

Wow, very sad!
Lots of hate on this board for Kate. I feel bad for Kate. I think she wants to work it out with Jon and he is pretty much done. I mean he went out and bought a car without telling her and goes out to bars late at night and goes home with a 20 year old teacher. He is in the wrong. I think Jon needs to go back to work. He obviously doesn't want to be a stay at home dad. Poor kids!

Yeah, I only caught the end and it's just sad to think of them getting divorced...I especially feel for the kids.

It was a werid episode, you sure could tell things were off between them but I noticed it when the show ended a few months back....
Hopefully they can be polite for the kids sake... Sad to see that a couple that clearly loved each other back in the day...torn apart but their fame and money....they were happier when they had nothing.....It does seem like Kate wants to try but is it for the marriage or the show? |

Jon lost my respect (what he had of it since I'm struggling with both of them at this point) when he left Kate to handle all of the birthday
responsibilities alone. He goes on about being in it for the kids and then he decides he needs the weekend off when a big party is hours away? That was just
spiteful and if he is truely there for the kids then you don't pick that time to desert the family and your wife.

i think jon just wants all the attention to go away. and, as bossy as kate is, i hope it doesn't end with them splitting. they've together for 10yrs,
and it would be sad to see them going down like this...and not fighting for their family, and themselves.

sort of off the topic of kate and jon's problems....I just thought is was hysterical how Alexis invited a boy (friend) to the party and Jon looked
concerned. lol

I seriously feel bad for these children. This episode really made me dislike Kate. I just felt like she was really fake, and like playing up the party for the
kids for the people there & cameras. As hard as it probably is for Kate, I feel like she wants all the pity on her. I mean if your child calls you the
babysitter's name, that should be a clue that your not home enough or doing something wrong. The part with Jon and Alexis was both super adorable &
sad!

EJ, how do you know he left Kate to do all of the responsibilities? Kate could have told him to leave. They didn't show everything that went on right
before the party.

I can only think of a few things about this episode:
1. Is all this publicity for ratings? I can't help but think that. It is a "family buisness" after all... 2. I have watched this show from the beginning and I have seen Jon and Kate change...a lot. It is very sad to see them being the process together and not know what the future holds. Very sad. I have always thought Jon was a tad bit immature (and Kate is "bossy") but he has done a complete 180 since the last time we saw him. |

This season will likely be a major downer.

It amazes me that that pussy of a man who cheated on his wife continues to get all the sympathy while Kate is vilified.
She's a bitch and deserves what she gets? So typical when a strong woman is in a relationship with a immature cheating pussy. Since Jon can't wear the pants, Kate has to.
If it were reversed and Jon acted like Kate, would he be as vilified? Doubt it. |

Does Jon not live there anymore? Do they just rotate in and out? Like, when she's on the road, he is at the house with the kids and then he's gone when
she's home? Which is ... when exactly?
Kate: I'm here for my kids when my work allows it. Jon: I'm here for my kids everyday. He is the primary caregiver and yeah, if he cheated, he's a complete dick. But I think he seems like such a good dad. They light up when he's around. Whenever Kate is with the kids, she acts like it's an obligation. I think it should be a big red flag that her kids called her their babysitter's name. That shouldn't happen. |

JayneOC wrote: While I'm no fan of Kate, I totally agree with the main point here. There's no way in hell these same folks would have been painting her to be an innocent victim of her big, bad spouse if she had cheated on him when she was the stay at home parent and he was the one out in the workforce, gone significant chunks of time. |
