Yes. I don't like Adam's voice at all and he's annoying. I was cringing during that Queen performance.

Yes. I can see Kris having more a real career than Adam.

No but eh. Kris is a good guy not my taste. At least Danny didn't win and I don't feel like punching somebody like when Taylor won.

Which means in the other 49 states Adam probably (must have) won, especially considering they were separated by only a million votes last week. Which makes Adam the American Idol and Kris the Arkansas Idol.A. Why would that mean the other 49 states voted Adam? Whats the logic in that? (also look at the DI map, Kris won plenty of states) B. Don't know what kind of math class you (or who ever wrote that) took but there were 100 mil votes last night. 38 mil for Kris alone wouldn't win it. C. Whoever wrote that is grasping at straws, its Idol. They allow us to vote as many damn times as we please, don't get mad when people DO |

I liked them both, so I really didn't care in the end who won. I am happy however that Kris took it only to spite the judges and their stupid pimping. I
have an appreciation for the underdog and couldn't stand how all season Kris was essentially neglected by them in favour of much more irritating
contestants, like Lil and Danny. It was no question that the Wild Card show was a joke, and that the top 13 included many artists that weren't the best who
had been shown in the semi-finals. There were at least 4 or 5 people who were much better singers than people like Megan Joy, Scott, and Michael Sarver.
The finalists are often entirely different from one another, so that isn't anything new, take Taylor versus Catherine, or Jordin versus Blake... It all depends on what sound is marketable at present, if they want to be 'Top 40' successful. Otherwise you can look at the Idols who did manage some success but in different avenues, like country and gospel (not including Carrie who clearly reigned on more than just the Country charts). Not to mention those getting success from theater work, like Constantine and his Tony nomination. Then there are those like Kimberley Caldwell and Justin Guarini (plus Ace Young and whoever preceeded them) who would rather be musicians but are forced to take any work they can get, that being hosting duties on American Idol themed interview shows. So it's really hard to say where they'll end up. Jordin has had mediocre success, not as much as Kelly and Carrie, but more attention in the popular charts than say, Ruben. Same with David Cook. Runners up often landed in that same mediocre ground, like Archie and Clay. Clay has managed to remain somewhat relevant though, being in Broadway, and even being tabloid fodder. Same with Katherine McPhee who has gotten into acting. Justin Guarini just comes off as desperate, I haven't heard anything from Diana DeGarmo, and Blake Lewis is doing the independent thing. I also haven't heard from Bo Bice but I know he had marginal success post his season. I'm not an avid avid follower, but I'm a big pop culture person, so I know what I hear about and for the past few Idolirific years there's been an interesting slew of artists coming out of the American Idol vehicle, and their success hasn't been attributed to their winner status, but their talent, luck, and self-motivation to release a hit album or single. From my knowledge, Kelly didn't find huge success until Breakaway, and that was because she was lucky to land that song, which was also on a soundtrack, which was also followed up by other successful singles. No Idol has really had huge success with their coronation song, so it's all about seeing what happens in time. If you want to be a presence in the industry you have to MAKE yourself a presence. In the case of Jordin Sparks, she succeeded by dueting with a popular artist of the time, pre-girlfriend beater Chris Brown. That one song made her relevant and interesting. Not all of the Idols or contestants want to be commercially viable, they want to maintain 'artistic integrity' and that doesn't always fare well with the public. American Idol gives these people the exposure they need to attempt careers, winning is not conducive to success (as evident in the past years). Sometimes they have that perfect single, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they're willing to become marketable/commercial, sometimes they are not. Anyways that's my two cents. |

I think Danny should have won. That being said, based on Adam and Kris... I guess the right person won. Kris is kind of boring but I guess his music will be
more pleasing to listen to.

Yes! Adam was cool in the beginning, but as time went on the novelty wore off for me.
