I agree, Dylan! Episode 5 was really good.
The Season Finale won't air on Showtime until next Sunday, but if you have On Demand, you can watch it now. This season is 8 episodes, Laura, the first two had 10. |

Yeah, this season is only 8 episodes which sucks ass! I think it possibly had to do with the writer's strike. I'm hearing next season is back to 10
episodes.
I'll watch episode 7 tonight. I'm excited to see Anne of Cleves. And Cromwell is going DOWN! "I am not well handled, Mr. Cromwell." Dude, I'd be running for the hills. Episode 5 was definitely the best episode this season. The Fool was awesome! He needs to be in more episodes. I wonder if next season they'll show the family portrait Henry had done while he was married to Katherine Parr. It has all his kids, Jane as the Queen (even though she'd been dead for years), the wet nurse Mother Jack and the Fool, Will Somers. They should at least mention that. But I hope he makes another appearance next year. He survived I believe all the way into Mary's reign.

The Fool's last public apperance before his death was Elizabeth's coronation actually.

Wow, he lasted that long?! He was around even when KoA was still Queen.

OK, I'm cool with Joss as Anne of Cleves. Pretty damn good. As I don't really have a good sense of what a German accent should sound like, I'll
assume hers is decent. Her German was good enough.

Laura's responses in this thread are really cracking me up.
I must say it again, I'm super bitter about the 8 episodes. It probably was the writer's strike... damn them all. I'll watch episode 7 tonight. I'm excited to see Anne of Cleves. And Cromwell is going DOWN! "I am not well handled, Mr. Cromwell." Dude, I'd be running for the hills. He would have been even burned for that! Mr. Stanky Leg was NOT playing around. lol But I love how they threw in the Fool's dramatic influence over Henry's little God complex. Like, that scene at the end of the Fool in a crown on a throne just laughing his butt off. Stanky Leg is is such a bratty tyrant and throughout the show they always throw in how impressionable and irrational he can be. I wonder if that was also a jab at organized religion as well... like, your belief system is half based on a Fool's doing. Great episode!

Okay, I couldn't help but laugh when Henry yelled "SHE LOOKS LIKE A HORSE". I mean, who says that?
I'm glad Cromwell is finally getting what's coming to him. |

This eppy made me lol. I liked the "She looks like a horse!" line had me chuckling and same with a line near the end, but I can't remember what
it is right now. I liked how Charles and the other guy were giving each other side glances when Cromwell was trying to defend himself.
I need more interaction between Charles and wifey. BTW, i just totally noticed that his voice is like sex, just like the rest of him

blairboy wrote:No, we had to get rid of our OD after a couple episodes because of the price of cable. I was really pissed too because I remember last year it was like a race to see who could see whatever episode a couple days before it aired and my OD was always effed up and Dylan would get hers on like Tuesday and I wouldn't get it until like mid-Friday. So then this season, I was getting all the new episodes on Monday nights and was excited! But then we had to cancel
But I'm finding them all online on a Henry Cavill forum. So yay! Someone should have the 8th one in a link by today or tomorrow, hopefully. |

The bit about, "I didn't like her before and I like her even worse now" or whatever it was had me
. It's amazing how he would dog her
like crazy behind her back but was totally sweet to her face. Hypocritical yes, but oddly nice for Henry. He almost seemed concerned about hurting her feelings
although he made no bones about his feelings to everyone else. And it's funny because he's complaining so much about her and you're just like, 'dude, she's pretty at the very least. Some would call her beautiful. WTF is your issue?" Project your issues onto someone else much? Brandon's voice is sex on a stick. Just like everything else about him. But his wife needs to DIAF. She's really irking me lately. |
