I'm going tanning for the first time tomorrow in a long time. Should I shower tonight, or tomorrow after I go? I want to get the best results possible.

I don't think a shower has any bearing on the tan results...

Ok, I wasn't sure. I've heard that it doesn't something about not letting the tan sit.

You aren't supposed to shower for like 2 or so hours after a tanning session

I always used to shower right after tanning. Never made a difference.

Make sure to shave and exfoliate really well before going.

I work at a tanning salon.
It doesn't matter if you shower before or not, but PLEASE use some kind of lotion when you're in there. Your skin tans
much better if it's moisturized, and dry skin actually reflects the UV instead of absorbing it. Also, it's best not to shower for a few hours
afterwards to let your top layer of skin react and tell the rest of it what to do. Most things I've read say wait like 4 hrs if you can, especially if the
lotion has a bronzer in it. Since this is your first time, I'm assuming you're fairly pale, so you might want to pass on a lotion with bronzer unless
you already have a darker complexion. One with an accelerator would be good for you.
