Could this guy BE the smoke monster?

so faux-Locke could be Jacob's brother if we follow how the Biblical story. And just a thought is it possible that Richard is dead? Like that's why he
never ages? Doesn't explain Jacob though. And maybe Jacob was warning faux-Locke that Richard and crew were coming because they just saw real John's
body and wanted to know who faux-John was. It could be the smoke monster who was in human form before he went through all that crap just to become faux-John
but that would be the easy way out.

The answer Richard gave in latin to "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" translates to "He who will protect us all"

Romans 9:13 also says "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." Jacob had twelve sons, the youngest of whom was named Benjamin. The tribe of Benjamin's women and children were all killed,(just as Ben Linus's "tribe" was killed) and the remaining members of the tribe could not longer proliferate. The historical solution they came up with was to kill the men from another sub-tribe and take their women and children. Women are unable to carry to term on the Island, and the Others have been taking women and children from Oceanic Flight 815. |

I'm still in shock this morning! I had a gut feeling that Juliet was the one, but that was HARD to watch!! She's been my favorite for a while now, and
I loved her with Sawyer. What made me mad is that Jack and Kate were realizing that they loved each other, which would have left Sawyer and Juliet to be
together and happy. It could've all worked out.
That last scene, and then the white screen killed me! I think that Fake Locke guy must be able to take the form of any dead person, and he kept messing with people so that he could find some way to kill Jacob. That would explain all the dead people appearing everywhere. He found the loophole because he appeared to Ben as Alex and made him promise to do whatever John Locke said. So, when "John Locke" told him to kill Jacob, he did it. I'm assuming that the rule was that he couldn't kill him himself? |

omg!! i just had to watch it twice tonight. It was just an OMG-Holy Shit Kind of episode!
We all knew about Juliet's probable departure but holy crap, i was still bawling, poor Sawyer! .
That eye? Someone mentioned that it was Jack's since at the very beginning of the show, it was his eye that was featured. This time, does it look like Jack's again? For some reason, i thought it may be Juliet's and maybe she's not dead or it might be Sawyer's or someone that has light hair because of the color of the lashes. I might be wrong on the color of the lashes but i could swear it was light. Oh yeah, that was great acting on her part. However, that was also the most emotion we ever got from her though, I am so glad I am a Stargate SG-1 and a Tutenstein fan. All that egyptology crap that filled my head? I was finally able to put to use as soon as i saw that statue, I'm glad i am not the only one that noticed all the biblical references. I'm Catholic and went through catholic school all my life except for college. However, i have not been an active member since then nor do i remember a lot of stuff. Anyway, after all this time, it finally dawned on me. Benjamin in the Bible is Joseph's youngest and favorite brother and Jacob is their father who favors Joseph. There's no Joseph right now on the show but i mention him because he is more known, there was even a Broadway play about his "technicolor coat". Anyway, Jacob had a brother named Esau. Basically, they were fraternal twins and i think Jacob came out first and i think Esau was holding on to Jacob's ankle or something. Feel free to correct me here. Anyway, the story is they never got along but in the end, they finally reconciled. The dialogue between Jacob and the Fake-Locke reminds me of something from my childhood. I could swear there was a story or maybe a lecture from my Religion class or something. Anyway, it's either a conversation between God and Satan or an angel and the devil. They were discussing man and that basically, man has free will, that he always has a "choice". Neither God/angels nor Satan/devils can make that choice for him. Neither can they interfere. Temptations will always be there but man still has to make that "choice" between good and evil. I don't remember how that story/lecture ended but that was what i remember from it. I really think Jacob was actually good. Everything he did in the past with the Losties shows it. I swear, it was kinda like having a guardian angel there watching out for you, comforting you or blessing you. The Nadia thing? I think he stopped Sayid from getting killed along with her. I don't really know if Jacob was jacob or God or an angel but i like the religious similarities. In catholic school, you're told to believe without sight(faith) and that if you want something, you have to wait. Everything is in God's time. So when Ben whined about being told to wait time and time again in the past? I was reminded of that. Then when Ben stabbed Jacob?Basically because he was jealous of Locke? It reminded me of Joseph's brothers being so jealous of him that they sold him and left him for dead. Also, I think the loophole that Fake-Locke was talking about was how he, himself couldn't kill Jacob. He tempted Ben but Ben was the one who made that choice. The whole free will/choice thing was what killed him. That's the whole Catholic thing . God gave us the gift of free will but time and time again, we betray him by choosing the easy, the bad. All these theories in my head,

That was a lot of crazy shit, but I hate that we have to wait for about 8 months or so for the next season. When Juliet was hitting the bomb with the rock and
then there was the white flash and the Lost title comes up I was like "Fuck!" That's a hell of a cliffhanger to end on.

that was horrible when Juliette felt,i cried like a baby, damn but it seem like she managed to make the boob explode.
Jacob death if he's actually dead was weird you know he didn't even try to defend himself but then again maybe he can't die ?? rewatched some part and i really think the new Lock is the guy at the begging because he told Jacob that someone will find a loophole one day to kill him, and at the end Jacob said to the New Lock so you found your Loophole?. But now how did he managed to look just like Lock and have his memory ???? So Jacob kind of controlled their destiny when he came to see them but I wonder why he went to see some of them when they were kids and other when they were older. i can't believe we have to wait almost a year for the last season.

A friend of mine just told me that he read the casting call for the guy at the beginning of the episode with Jacob and that they listed the guy's name as
"Samuel" but when I just looked on IMDB it looks like, if this is the same guy, he's just listed as guy #2.
Plus...everyone thinks the white flash was the bomb, but on LOST, white flash = time travel all the rest of the time. |

i have not read any of this ish. i just finished watching the finale. was supposed to be home to watch it in real time, and i'm still kinda cursing myself
for not doing so, but was out instead.
i don't even really know what to say. I don't even know if I liked the finale I'm kind of really disappointed in the actor picked to portray Jacob. ......... I've seen that actor before, I'm pretty sure. I don't care for him, and as JACOB of all people? i don't know dude... it should've been an unknown who could really live up to the hype of the character. he doesn't seem like Jacob at ALL to me, even though we have no real idea who Jacob is exactly. |
