Granted Jon is jerk if he did, indeed, cheat on her and his family but I just don't understand why she's giving the interview. Usually people give
interviews after the divorce or separation. It's just weird on her part--if they're going to work it out, work it out in private. She just seems more
enthralled in celebrityville than he does.

Public schools are paid for by tax payers/ the public and thereby they have certain obligations. I know an unmarried 3rd grade friend of mine got pregnant and she felt that her job could be in jeopardy so she and her boyfriend decided to get married. She felt the threat was real even though there was nothing specifically stating so in her contract that a single mother teacher would be canned. It would have been difficult to explain to the class there is no Mr. Mc..... and such. Likewise, wouldn't it be weird to go to a club and see your child's kindergarden teacher drunk laying on the bar and having random men do belly shots off of her? Teacher's are seen as moral figures by many and even though a layperson/parent can do something, teachers are often held to a higher standard. |

In a weird way, I think Kate *is* thinking of the kids by doing the show etc. It's not just about her trying to be famous.
I think she thinks they are providing them a better life and a better future with the money and freebies they get. I hope they are putting aside money for the children. |

That said, I don't feel bad for Jon or Kate. She is a huge bitch who was more concerned with fame than making her family a priority and he's a big pussy for letting her treat him like a five year old. |

The moral issue is a hotbed of opinions and a very common point of contention but one that people should be made aware of prior to becoming a teacher,
imo.
http://books.google.com/books?id=Ny2eD-ZebUoC&pg=RA2-PA183&dq=teacher+private+life+morals Chapter 11 (p 183) covers this argument (both sides) Here's an interesting article on moral conduct about a teacher : http://www.palmbeachpost.com/yourtown/content/local_news/epaper/2008/05/18/teachers0519.html

And your friend could have made a formal complaint to the EEOC. Most HR departments are very well versed in this law and you bet the school district in NY
knows what would happen if they were accused of firing a pregnant woman, budget cuts or no.

All I'm concerned about is the affect going on magazine covers anouncing to the world that your marriage is in trouble will have on the kids. The girls are
old enough to see the cover and know what is going on. How embarassing for them.

I have zero sympathy for Jon. He's a cheating douche and what he's doing now is most likely going to hurt the kids more than anything else. I guess it
shouldn't surprise me though, he's never seemed like the most mature guy ever...he's always seemed more like a ninth kid than a husband in their
family.

Yes. I feel bad for the children. The best thing would be to end the show. They need to put them above their bank accounts on their list of priorities.
It's shameful that networks pay parents to exploit their children.

I understand saying goodbye to all that money each season is hard. But continuing the show would only prove that they are doing it strictly for cash. You
can't complain about how Jon is having a hard time dealing with the "newfound" Plus, with all the books and royalties from the show I'd think they would be pretty okay for a long while anyway. |

I don't know if it's so much the money, or the attention and feeling of utter importance, that she would hate to lose. Like, psychologically, I'm
sure there's something to be said about how important a person must feel to have cameras and an entire crew follow his/her every move. I think as
far as money goes, they are pretty set. I just don't think it's that alone keeping them/Kate from ending the show.

I hope they do split up and Jon gets the kids. Kate is such a fraud -- wants everyone to think she is a supermom. The woman is never home anymore and all she
wants is to become the next Martha Stewart. Bitch, please. You can't be a "supermom" when you never see your kids. Sorry, but karma is a bitch.
http://www.starmagazine.c..._kreider_jodi/news/15588 ^^ I was wondering why Aunt Jodi no longer appeared on the show. I wish they had given that interview to a more reputable tabloid -- not that tabloids are reputable at all, but STAR?

No. I was just saying how some people seem to think that way. Like some forms are cheating are considered okay and others are considered not okay. My point was
all cheating is equally as bad.

I totaly believe that Kate and Jon have an agreement that he can see other women (like the source in Star claims). She totally strikes me as the kind of woman
who would suggest that because she doesn't want to be divorced on tv and wants to keep her precious show on the air. That's why I can't get too
angry with Jon, I kind of assume she knew all along.

Look at the situation now. All this scandal in the news about him and the other woman. This isn't easier than filing for divorce, is it? At least that way
their children wouldn't be teased about daddy messing around with another woman.

Just doing my part to set the record straight.
fame, how your friends and children are being affected, yet continue to do the
show.
