I two people who took Depo. One actually lost weight and the other gained like 30 lbs. I guess it depends in the person, maybe.

I don't want to worry you but I had the rare side effect of my hair getting VERY thin. It isn't a popular side effect of it though
 just a heads up.

I gained weight and my acne was awful, too. The only plus side was that I didn't have a period (no spotting or anything) for over a year!

My period is three little semi-light nothing days that hardly bothers me

I just experienced two long periods and some weight gain but that all goes away. And also it depends on how your body reacts to it. My cousin lost weight
from taking the shot.

I was on the shot for a year. It made me have a constant period. It was horrible! I didnt gain any weight on it though but the constant period was enough for
me to say fuck this shit im just going to get my tubes tied..lol

My acne was bad. I gained weight, but not very much... and I was also in grad school and stress eating. I NEVER had a period. I never spotted. It was easier
than pills, and I had a great sex drive. I never got a yeast infection (which is something I struggle with on regular birth control).
Just exercise more, watch what you eat, and you'll be fine. |

Here's my list
-gained 35 lbs -daily migraines -horrible mood swings -constant bleeding/period for 6 months straight-no sex drive I got off it and my period didnt become stable till about 3 months later. Then the weight fell off 6 months later. NEVER AGAIN |
