Thank you for your kind words.
It was I suppose luck of the draw that I wound up with Lucy. Her mother's mom was abandoned by my neighbor when they moved out. They just kind of left her on the porch and said peace out to her. So I took her to the vet, got her checked out and updated and brought her in myself. Then she had 6 kittens, but the only problem is, once they grew older they didn't like staying inside. So, Delabell kind of raised them outside and they'd come in for food and water, a bath and that was that. Delabell was hit by a neighbor who was speeding in my neighborhood. One of HER kittens was also killed by a speeder in my neighborhood. Then one of her kittens, who I call Puddin, really latched onto me and she's the inside cat. She wound up pregnant. One of her kittens died because he had a severe infection, the vet said. Now Lucy. Puddin still had two siblings that hang outside my house. I feed them and such, but every time I try to get them in they go nuts. So I made them a little place to crawl inside if it's raining or cold, and put blankets and toys on my porch for them. To make some light of this, my friends call me the cat lady because I have like a thousand cats who hover around my house. It's like they tell their homeless cat friends that i'll supply food if they just hang around Basically, I have an enormous soft spot for animals. My dog was also a dog who was abandoned. He was just a pup and now he's like half my size.

My uncle's sort of a cat lady too. He feeds strays, and he had his own cat, who's gone now. We don't know what happened to him. But the cat he has
now was his neighbor's cat, but they moved away and didn't take her, so he took her in. And she had kittens, and two of them still live with him.
They're grown now...Hell, they're bigger than she is.

When I think of cat lady, I think of someone who sits around and talks to them as they're their only friends

I almost named her Stevie after Stevie Nicks, but that didn't happen.

Sorry about your kitty
Fortunately, it doesn't seem like she suffered.

Way back when, we had a kitten named Boots who jumped into the dryer when my sister wasn't looking.
Poor thing.

What an adorable cat.
That's always one of my biggest fears with recliners. None of my cats are small enough to squeeze in there when they're not opened up but I almost always double check before I put the recliner back down.

OMG I know something similar a family friend did to a Boston Terrier puppy. That is the worst feeling ever.

oh my god, that is awful, I'm so sorry!
My friend and I share 3 kittens and I have a recliner that they used to go under all the time (they don't as much anymore, but we are still very alert about them being under there) and we would always pay a lot of attention to where they were at all times when someone was going to sit in it. |
