I had them and ended up having surgery to remove my gallbladder. The attacks have got to be the worst pain I've experienced. Good luck to your sister!

The attacks hurt worse then being in labor. I got my gallbladder out last July & I am so happy I did.
Hope she is feeling better soon! |

Worst pain ever and there's no way to get comfortable during an attack.

She's had to go cuz she had some adomen pain so she's there to do some tests. My uncle had them, had to get them removed, then he developed heart
problems and had to stay iin the hospital for months and he got a defibrillator. My cousin is worried my sister is gonna go through the same thiing.
What options do you have for gall stones? Removal or medicine right? Hmm....maybe she'll be lucky and have medicine. She doesn't want us there, so I guess if there's anything serious she'll let us know. |

If they're the kind where you have attacks the only way to get rid of the stones is to take out the gall bladder because it's stopped working and the
attacks will continue. If they're the silent type, where you don't know you have them and you go to the doctor for something else and they're found
then you can take medicine or they can be blasted with eletric shock waves. Sounds like she'll be having surgery if it's gall stones.
