So why is it that the Economic Committee has not yet had a meeting? And isn't it odd that the Immelt (who sank GE) is a member of that committee?

GE sank?

Uh, yeah. When did GE sink?

Yes, GE sank. It flourished when Jack Welch was CEO, it's floundering under Immelt. Look at their stock price.
But, if the cap and trade bill goes through, they're poised to make billions. Get it? GE owns MSNBC as well as all the NBC networks. And Immelt is on the Economics committee. |

PARTS of GE are doing poorly. And due to that, everyone panics and starts selling off stock, hence dropping the price. That does not mean the company has
"sunk". Many facets of GE are doing just fine.

HP is sinking? I don't know anything about the woman you speak of, but I bet she paid her taxes.
And not every other company sank the last year. Only the ones that Congress meddled with and the ones that felt the Domino effect. |

No. I'm pointing out that cabinet members are appointed whether they have tax problems or not. After a while it becomes the norm.
Check out the new nominee for HUD. It may not be tax-related but it's cause for concern. |

Lilpeepers do you have anything valid to complain about?
I find it funny that you complain about who Obama nominates but fail to mention the problems bush had with his nominees. When it was revealed that the McCAins owed back taxes on a house did that stop you from voting for him? Based on your posts it's very obvious that you dislike Obama. You find something to complain about on everything he does. I bet you were upset that he picked the hot mustard.

Actually, I have no interest in his mustard choice.
Yes, I dislike Obama's direction of spending huge amounts of money that we don't have on plans that haven't worked in the past. And he did promise us the most ethical administration and complete transparency. It's not happened. |
