Is the Chi straightner good or just a waste of money?

I'm a hair stylist, and the Chi is my absolute favorite

It's incredible. I've had one for years and don't know what I'd do without it.

If you do end up buying it buy it from Trade Secret if you have one by you. I paid 130$, but if you buy it at trade secret, they give you a lifetime
warrenty...if yours breaks (which mine has 3 times in the past 3 years ive had mine...like once a year) then you just bring it into the store with your
original reciept and they will swap it out for you with a new one, no questions asked, on the spot. Its really convenient, and you can do it as many times as
you need!

Definitely not a waste of money at all. Mine broke (after 4 years) and I sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new one. I have had CHIs for the past 9
years. Get it!

I LOVE IT. My hair is curly, and frizzy, and coarse. Not with the Chi!!!!!

Whats your hair like? If you have not too long and not too thick hair then a Chi will last you forever probably. If you have long thick hair you can count on
replacing it about once a year, hopefully while it's still under warranty. I have long and thick hair and I couldn't tell you how many Chi's
I've gone thru, I'm guessing around a dozen in the last 6 or 7 years. Last one I bought was a Solia and it lasted 9 months but I got a new one under
warranty. While I was waiting to get my new one I went to Sally's and bought one to use in the mean time and it was $40 and I use it more than I use the
Solia. It gets just as hot and does my hair just as well as any Chi, babyliss, Solia, or any other kind of $100++ pro iron I've ever used.

why is it so good? What's so "magical" about it? My $40 straighter works for me. so what makes the Chi so much better?

I think it depends on your hair type. Some straighteners work best with really thick curly hair and others don't.

I hear it sucks and breaks within months. I also heard you can't adjust the temp but maybe they've improved since then.
