I always wonder about this... Do they actually want to??? Do they enjoy the sport??? Do they do it in hopes of picking up chicks??? Why???

i wouldn't do it, but i guess you get to look up skirts, have your hands all over asses all day and hang out with hot chicks in hotels on road trips.
sounds legit.

That sounds cool and all, but at the end of the day, you're still a cheerleader. I don't know if it could be worth it.

yeah the whole "i'm a cheerleader" thing would definitely outweigh the chick thing.

I don't know, but have you ever seen two-partner stunting competitions? Those guys are every bit as big as football players.

One of my friends did it because he was a football player and got hurt so he became a cheerleader so he could be in the same atmosphere.

yeah i definitely see the "perks" in it, and it's not a gay vs. straight thing (at least to me). it's just kind of one of those things...out
of all the sports/activities/clubs, cheerleading would have been my last choice. of course i don't really have that rah rah, go team type personality
either. i'm a eyes on the prize, kevin garnett mean mugging on the sideline type guy.

Competitive cheerleading is predominately gymnastics based with a very small dance component so unless you're questioning why guys become gymnasts I
don't see why people question become a cheerleader.

Plenty of guys really enjoy cheerleading. And in college there are a lot of perks to doing it. I don't see why this is so hard to believe.

Guys cheerleading in high school isn't very common but it is in college. |

We had a student who worked in our office (I work in college admissions) who started a Power Lifting Club on campus. The cheerleading coach then recruited him
to cheer because if he can lift weights, he could lift chicks
