Is it rock from a specific time? I thought I heard it was only from the 70s and 80s. I'm not sure though.

I have no idea. I heard something like it's going to be classical rock or somethin. But I don't know.

Classic Rock, aka from the 70s and 80s, most likely.

I am not sure what songs i would like for Adam to perform. there are so many good rock songs. i give up on him singing anything i would want because he is always so full of surprises. he is the one who takes a song nobody has ever heard before and makes it to where you can't stop listening to it. My boyfriend and i did make up last night. he called me as i was getting ready to get into bed. i had Adam playing in the background and he laughed and said "Glad you have another man to depend on when we are fighting." . we both said we were sorry and all the other lovey dovey stuff..

7 day trends for the Final Four below:-
http://twist.flaptor.com/?gram=adam+lambert%2C+danny+gokey%2C+kris+allen%2C+allison+iraheta&table=0&tz=8 This measures how often each Idol was mentioned and at what time. You can also click on any point on the chart and see Tweets from that time period. From looking at that I've devised that: 1. Adam by far has the most mentions, and the most passionate mentions (if you look at the actual tweets) 2. Kris is a distant second 3. Danny is the 3rd most mentioned contestant, with the most negative tweets 4. Allison barely registers on the chart at any given time Interesting. If that holds true and Twitter really IS the pulse of America, then the results would be: 1. Adam 2. Kris 3. Danny 4. Allison Just something to ponder Coincidentally, that's the exact same order the iTunes data panned out as well with Adam leading in a 2 to 1 ratio over Kris, with Danny a distant 3rd and Allison off the chart. |

Happy birthday xlovinjt131x! Today is my birthday too!
I really want two solo Adam songs. Have they done duets before (on AI)? Last year was the first season I watched in full and I only remember the duet between the final two. But if they did do duets, I actually do think it would be pretty good to put Adam and Danny together, to showcase how Adam's voice is FAR superior to Danny's voice! Since some people have yet to recognize that fact. Yeah, that's right, I say it's a fact, not an opinion. |

Sparky35 wrote: Happy birthday to you too! As far as I know, they haven't done duets this early. And I agree about putting Adam and Danny together. As much as I dislike Danny, if putting them together for the duet would get Danny out of the competition faster, then I'm all for it

I don't think they have every done duets on the show. It will be interesting. I actually want Adam to be paired with Allison. I think vocally they will
sound the best together. If he is paired with Kris that would be awesome because of the kradam moments and if he is paired with Danny then hopefully it will be
last time we have to watch his weird hand motions and dancing.

I think that whoever is paired with Adam will benefit because he is such a professional that he will work on the overall performance and in turn, lift them up.
On the other hand, TPTB could put the cannon fodder there (although who that might be is in the eyes of the beholder) attempting AGAIN to control the outcome.

From a blog...
I Love Being Right... I'm sure I wasn't the only one shocked to see my boys (Kris Allen and Adam Lambert) standing next to each other in the Bottom 3. I called foul, and so did several others. Guess what? We Were Right. Nigel Lythgoe, the former producer of American Idol fully admits to playing fast and loose with the Bottom 3. That confirms my suspicions that it was really Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey in the Bottom 3. I monitor DialIdol.com like a worried mother on Tuesday nights. Yes, yes, DialIdol.com has been totally funky this year since American Idol has finally found a way to skew the site's prediction formula. They have opened more phone lines; thus resulting in less busy signals, thus throwing off the formula. That's why Lil and Danny kept ending up near the top pack in "busy signals and predictions" even though they were always some of the lowest voter getters. The night they had Kris predicted to go home was the night I stopped believing their predictions. There's a trick to DialIdol.com that even the producers cannot get around -- the "Raw Numbers" option. If you change the setting from "Busy Signals" to "Raw Numbers," you can see the actual vote results for each contestant. Those numbers have been near accurate this season (in terms of who's gonna home). RAW NUMBERS for Rat Pack Week: (1) 74.63K Allison (2) 56.56K Kris (3) 51.95K Adam (4) 39.72K Matt (5) 33.75K Danny It's possible Adam was third last week and that's why they did a Bottom 3 instead of Bottom 2. A lot of people -- myself included -- thought that Allison and Kris were in danger, so we -- I -- voted for them -- Kris -- instead of Adam. After The Scare, I've seen a lot of Adam fans claims that's the last time they help out a fellow contestant and intend to power vote for Adam from now on. This concerns me slightly. I worry that the LACK of extra Adam Fan votes for Kris and Adam means Danny will get a boost, and Kris or Allison will go home this week. Adam will definitely be the top vote getter this week, and I think Kris will place second or third. Their fan bases seem the most FREAKED OUT and most ready to save their favorite Idol. This is the only reason I could possibly see Allison getting the boot. I adore her, but she kind of seems like the "fag hag" to Adam and Kris. The internet -- from EW.com to TWOP to even VTFW -- buzzes with excitement over an "AKA" (Adam, Kris, Allison) Top 3. Lord knows, I want it! I could see Kris and Allison splitting votes this week, and the votes breaking in Kris' favor. Allison might be a sixteen-year-old "cool chick" who tweens think rock, yet... Kris is a twenty-something "hawt boy" who tweens think is Guess what? Hawt Boy wins that demographic. It just does. Rewatch the performances and the results shows this week; they scream for Kris the way they scream for Adam. I Still Predict Danny Will Go... DialIdol is a website created for Power Voting. You download the software and then plug your phone jack/modem into your computer, and it calls for you. Danny's numbers at 20K lower than the rest of them; if DI is a good sample of AI voting patterns, it means that less folks are power voting for Danny. That's awesome. I might be hanging around the wrong places on the interwebz, but I haven't seen a lot of "Save Danny" or "Power Vote for Danny" or "Have A Danny Voting Party" this week, whereas MTV.com has been covering Voting Parties for Kris and has covered Adam and Kris fans reaction to the Producer's Manipulation. Danny's also overstayed his welcome, and everyone in America BUT Simon and Paula know it. EW.com predicts Danny will go home. There's also been blowback from "CakeGate" and every time Danny opens his mouth he comes off as a total douchebag. His faith-based voting bloc can only get him so far (particularly because they might be shifting, or have already shifted, over to Kris). Oh, and it's Rock Week... Classic Rock of the 1970s and 1980s, and Slash from Guns'N'Roses will mentor. OH! They are doing duets. Buh-Bye, Danny. Adam and Allison have the voices to hit the glory notes (e.g. "Born to Be Wild" and "Alone"). Kris has the musical savvy and talent to rearrange songs that fit his "limited" vocals while making it fell fresh and current (e.g. "Ain't No Sunshine"). Out of the four contestants left, Danny has shown no originality in his arrangement or performances. He will come off as karaoke and amateurish compared to the others. A lot will be riding on performances this week. None of them can fuck up, and Adam cannot turn in "a mediocre for him" performance either. I predict... Adam: Guns'n'Roses - Welcome to the Jungle All right, so this directly contradicts my "Adam cannot turn in a predictable and mediocre" performance statement. I don't care. I have waited all season for Adam to perform this song. Bonus Points if Slash comes out on the guitar! Allison: Pat Benatar - We Belong "Someone to Watch Over Me" was Allison's best performance -- by a mile -- because she softened up. While other songs by Benatar might let Allison Rock Out more, "We Belong" would be the perfect mix of "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Alone." Danny: U2's I Still Haven' Found What I'm Looking For (The New Voice of Freedom/Rattle and Hum version) I almost went with John Lennon's "Imagine" since Slash has done a cover of it. Nope. I cannot shake the sickening feeling that Danny will perform the U2 classic and take it to Church. That's the only way I see him surviving Rock week: pander to his audience by praising Jesus. Danny's been denied the Pimp Spot since the semi-finals, and this version is, without a doubt, a showstopper. Kris: TIE! The Rolling Stones' Angie OR Wild Horses Just like Adam and "Welcome to the Jungle," Kris and "Angie" or "Wild Horses" fit like a pair of Saks silk gloves. If he could someone find a way to combine the honesty of his "Failingly Slowly" performance with the freshness of his "Ain't No Sunshine" performance, he would RUN AWAY with the night. It would be A Moment, a Mad World Moment. But What About These Damn Duets... I initially thought the duets were created to throw Kris under the bus by showing off his limited vocal skills. I fully predict the Judges (I'm looking at your Randy and Simon) will bus Kris with the "IT'S A SINGER COMPETITION" crap. We all know it's not a singing competition. Now, I wonder if it's really a way to bus Danny without upsetting his fan base. Compared to the other three, I think Danny will come off as "amateurish" and "karaoke." Predicting the producers' mind games would be easier if we knew who they teamed up. Oh, the possibilities! Option #1 [Bus Danny] Adam/Danny: Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia Oh, laugh. Laugh until you cry. The producers have been playing the idea of the sinner (Adam) vs. the saint (Danny) all season. Subtle is not there thing, so, why the hell not? Why not have Adam sing "the Devil" part and have Danny sing "Johnny"? TPTB could put the two frontrunners in a duet so the audience gets a preview of the finale (or they not, because they don't want to reprise an Adam and Danny duet in the finale). If Danny sings with Adam, I think it will be the death of him. Adam will sing circles around him. This would be the best way to bus Danny, so I hope we get this. Allison/Kris: Fleetwood Mac's Landslide It. Would. Be. Beautiful! It would be perfect. Allison could get applauded for her controlled vocal and Kris could get applauded for his musical skills (because they would HAVE to do it without the band and just have Kris on the guitar). Take about a MOMENT for both of them! Option #2 [Bus Kris] Adam/Kris: Simon & Garfunkel's Old Friends with Kodachrome as the Breakdown/Bridge Adam and Kris are polar opposites. Pair them tonight and obviously it will screw Kris, right? Wrong. Kris and Adam are the most talented of the four. If you pair them together, there's no doubt in my mind, they would create an arrangement that suits both of their voices and styles. It could be a challenge - but the pay off would be huge. They're the most unpredictable when it comes to song choices -- She Works Hard for The Money, Tracks of My Tears -- but they always shine. I would love to see their interpretation of any Simon & Garfunkel standard, with Adam as Garfunkel and Kris as Simon. They could do no wrong. "Old Friends" is my Top Choice. It's a sentimental song, but the demographics of American Idol have aged (it's been on for nearly 10 years, after all). Parents watching with their tweens would connect with the song. Adam and Kris really have BFFs on the show. Folks know that. It could come off as a genuine performance. That would help Adam; the biggest compliment about him -- still - is he's too theatrical and not really feeling the song. Oh, and, HOLY FUCK KRADAM ON MY SCREEN. A++++ (And, dear folks saying this would cause vote splitting between The Boys: GO GET YOUR CELL. Have your landline going for one of them, and cell for the other. Because it's not the finale yet. It's not about getting THE TOP VOTES, it's about NOT GETTING THE BOTTOM votes!) Allison/Danny: Fleetwood Mac Don't Stop The producers could think pairing Danny with Allison would work better for him. There are more Boy/Girl duets to select. Regardless of who Danny duets with, you know THE BIG INSPIRATIONAL SONG with come out, and what is more frakking annoying than Don't Stop? Nothing. Option #3 [Bus Everyone] Adam/Allison: Elton John & Kiki Dee - Don't Go Breaking My Heart It would just be so frakking ADORABLE. Corny, and kind of stupid, and totally American Idol. Not to mention since he's gay, and she's not legal, they probably shouldn't be singing songs about sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. I think pairing Allison and Adam together would give Allison a boost. Danny/Kris: The Rolling Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want I refuse to even entertain the notion of a Kris/Danny duet. It would be a train wreck. Kris cannot compete with Danny's bombastic vocals, and Danny doesn't understand Nuance if it appeared as the ghost of Sophia bringing flow charts. Duets need to compliment each other, not compete. This would just be, as Randy says, "a hot mess." I can only hope, if this Hell on Earth happens, that we get my favorite Stones song. That way all the Danny voters out there can see that they might WANT Danny but they NEED Kris. |

I was reading that it would be unlikely for Adam to do WTTJ because Axel probably hasn't cleared his song, no one has done any gnr songs in the past, and
apparently Axel and Slash don't get along anymore.... so the songs are probably still not cleared.

That sucks. I wonder what he'll do then. Maybe bowie or zeppelin. Its just hard to know what songs the show can actually get cleared, cause I don't
think they have ever done this theme.
