It's sort of cute how she's going to the junior prom though. There's this boy in a couple of her classes who made a comment that he wasn't going to prom. My daughter asked him why not. He said girls just said no and a couple actually blamed his height. He's pretty short for a boy...5'3". In any event my daughter said she'd go with him with no problems. He at first thought she was joking and she said nope, I'll go..it'll be fun. He was pretty happy about but for three periods during the day other kids in the junior class wouldn't believe he was going with my daughter.
I'm so glad girls share proms gowns else I'd go broke

My daughter just told me that she's not only going to her own Senior Prom this year, but she's going to the Junior Prom in two weeks. Her and her
friends are all swapping gowns for the extra proms they're attending and only buying a new one for their own actual prom. Thank goodness though.

It'll be a good time for the kids. My daughter knows a lot of people at the junior prom anyway. They won't have a limo but that's okay. My daughter
has a car and can drive at night. The boy can't drive after 9 yet. She has no patience for BS like the other kids in her class were dishing him.
It's also a bit interesting how different the classes are. The senior class at the school is one of the largest the high school has ever seen but they've been doing things as a group since middle school. There's always little cliques but my daughter said it's not all that noticeable. There are 50 of them in two of those fancy bus/limos going as a group. Also the seniors have little patience for the games of the juniors. Oh, and here's a pic of my daughter trying on her prom gown. It hasn't been altered yet....we need to shorten it and fix the halter neck line:

I didn't go to prom, but when I was in high school, like 80% of the gowns people wore looked like wedding dresses. Some actually did buy wedding dresses.

It's yellow so it's not. Her goal is to look like Belle from Beauty and the Beast and I think she succeeded. She actually found it at a dress shop
online and it was in the section for QuinceaƱera dresses. The girls in her school tend to wear big poof dresses for senior prom.

Wow that is a gorgeous dress! I'm donating most of my old formal dresses to a prom recycling program. My actual prom dress is too special for me to donate
though.

She looks very nice in her dress and very age appropriate. I swear girls here look like their about to come down the pole with the cut outs and look of their dresses. |

I loved my senior prom dress so much that I wore it to 3 proms the same year.
Her dress is very pretty. |

It looks like a wedding dress, even though it's yellow. But I'm sure you're proud for raising a good daughter! She'll make that boy's
night, and I don't mean it in the dirty way.

She said why paying so much for shoes when they'll come off at the prom anyway. So she has $5 Old Navy shiny silver flip flops. |
