kfree10 - we went there the day my mother in law died...it was fun, and knowing the kids could drop peanut shells made it less stress on me!

Their rolls are
Their steaks have always been hit or miss in my experience. I've had really good ones and really bad ones. I like this one chicken dish they have. Well I just looked online and I guess they don't have it anymore but I remember it had black beans on top. And I always get a salad because their ranch dressing is the best I've ever tasted. |

I hate that place. They soak everything in butter (including steaks) and cook vegetables in fat. No thanks, I like my heart.

I usually get the dallas filet, or the roasted chicken. I tried the ribs once, and I agree with Glory, I didn't like them at all. I love their loaded
mashed or baked potato and of course the rolls.

Tri-tip! I loved it. And the rolls. I also opened a few peanuts, just so I could throw the shells on the floor. I have no idea why I enjoyed that so much.

I think I'm the only one on the planet who's never eaten at a Texas Roadhouse. Maybe one of these days...

I get the 6 oz sirloin with the rice pilaf and a house salad...it's pretty much the only time I eat red meat anymore and it's sooo good!

My husband worked there for over a year and the only two things I could stand to eat were the critters (chicken fingers) and pulled pork and that was usually
only because my husband made them before coming home and would "doll" them up a bit. I have never had a decent sit down meal there. Dry meats and
from what I understand there (at least at his old location) food handeling and sanitation were questionable. He now works at a much better steakhouse and I
could eat there daily.

OzGrl134 wrote:Me too. I normally don't get chicken fingers from places because they're not good but the chicken critters are great there. I think it's the grilled chicken salad that I used to get all the time but it's really good (especially with their honey mustard dressing). Plus the rolls are great. I'm not a huge fan of the steaks or ribs but the loaded sweet potato is good too. I'm actually surprised that JJB likes it so much. JJB tends to hate chains

Love that place. I've only been there twice (they recently built one by my parents house). The peanuts are soooo good.
The first time I had their pulled pork. Delicious. Second time I had the chicken fried chicken. Pretty damn good for chicken fried chicken. My mom had the ribs the second time around. So good and fell right off the bone. I need to try one of their steaks one day. |

Do NOT get the country fried chicken or steak! It is so thin and it is all batter, no meat!
