That was somewhat unexpected. And the sucky thing is that I'm mostly miffed because of the fractured femur- it would be AWESOME to take two months and
train for the marathon full-time, but no... I'm laid off AND unable to train. Boo!

I'm getting good at getting laid off!
Yeah, Spamster, that would have been an added stress- though I have enough in savings after closing to cover the mortgage by myself for 10 months and my BF is still working, so we would have made it work. Just wouldn't be as fun. |

Yeah I figured you'd have enough money to cover it for a while but you're right, it wouldn't have been as fun. Everything happens for a reason.
You'll get another job soon and a house that is perfect for you guys!

I was having great luck with work, Oohykitty, or do you mean because I always get laid off again? It's somewhat to be expected in my position. I'm used
to it by now, but the uncertainty just sucky. I don't think I've everm had a job for more than 20 months or so before either I leave or layoffs happen.

Has that taught you to be a little less smug, or no?

I just remember when you left your other job, didn't seem like that long ago is all.

Oohykitty, yeah, it was in December of 2007 and then I started this one right afterwards in January of 2008. So I've been there for... what's that,
like a year and a quarter, a little more?

Ooohykitty, I told him if he dares propose right now I will have his head. I don't want a pity proposal.

That was sweet either way though.

Sorry to hear that, I am laid off too. Damn economy. I have never known so many people on unemployment in my lifetime.
