I'm obviously not with her 24/7 but I don't think she cleans herself like she used to. She's pretty old, but still seems to be in good health. She
jumps and plays and stuff...even caught a bird a few days ago, but she's not pretty like she used to be. Her fur looks all ratty and it gets matted pretty
easily. Is this common with older cats? I used to have another cat and she never had this problem even when she was on her way out...
I don't think my cat cleans herself anymore...

i read in a couple of books that as cats age some get a little lazy about cleaning.

Yeah I've heard that some cats get lazy about cleaning as they get older. You can probably get a comb to brush her with to help keep her clean. They also
sell these wet clothes in the pet dept that you can use to keep her clean as well.

Yeah, they're just like old people. Some of them lose the ability to really keep themselves clean and keep up hygiene.
