hooking up only means kissing if you're in middle school. if you're over the age of 16 you should not be using hooking up as a term for making out.

Hooking up is a deliberately vague term. It should mean anything you want it to. I think it's more awkward to describe what you did when you didn't
have sex than to just say "we slept together." It's not like you're going to say "yeah we dry humped a lot. Lots of neck kissing. I felt
his dick over his pants."

When people say they hooked up with someone I always assume sex.

Seems like everyone's definition of this is different. When people I know say "I hooked up with.." it usually means everything but the actual
sex. If they are having sex it's "I'm sleeping with so and so.." or simple "I had sex with.." If all they did was make out they
say "we made out" |

I don't understand how you can be comfortable with "hooking up" but not adding each other on facebook. Seems backwards to me.

SparklyBlonde wrote:Because hooking up doesn't mean you're friends. If 2 people are solely hooking up, they aren't going to be hanging out and introducing each other to friends and family members. They aren't gonna be going to the movies and dinner....that would be dating. This is just hooking up, therefore it's extremely weird to facebook friend each other. Friends do that, not hookups. |

I don't say 'hooked up' but if I did - it would mean sex. And if any of my friends say it - its for sex.
And ffs - if you're doing whatever w/ the dude, you shouldn't be embarrassed or whatever to add him on FB. it's facebook, ffs. |
