I simply can not be the only one excited about this tonight! I just watched the original documentary on YouTube, and it was hilarious, confusing, sad and
brilliant! And from the snippets and trailer, tonight's remake will be no different.

Drew was so amazing, she made me cry a few times. I loved it. I wish it was a theatrical movie so she could get a Oscar nod. I cannot believe that was her,
just an amazing performance.

So depressing....
Poor Little Edie. I honestly think she just let it all go when she lost her hair. Drew and Jessica were wonderful. I can't wait to see the real documentary. |

The documentary is on YouTube. There are several postings for it, but here's the one I followed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7b5gxc5VfI. This is part I, and the others are labeled accordingly. Enjoy!

Jessica was amazing but Drew was....herself. I found her acting self indulgent

I'm actually watching the original documentary on youtube the last few days and it just makes me so sad for these 2 women. Especially the daughter who it
seems gave up all her dreams and life to stay with her mother. And I think it's obvious the 2 of them have some mental issues. That house is absolutely
in the worst state too and when she first talked about all the fleas, I've felt itchy ever since. Anyway, here's the first few links if anyone wants
to watch the original (There are 10 parts in all)

I had heard about this story a long time ago and then they happened to be playing it on IFC I think - and it was sooooo bizarre and sad.... it is also on
broadway now or it just was -
I still can't understand how they stayed in the house in that condition with no running water or electricity. I thought the movie was great because it gave insight on their lives prior to the documentary. Jessica and Drew were great - they got down the LI/NY accents wonderfully. I love Drew but I hate the way she always shakes her head when she speaks..... |
