Are so unkempt and unattractive. It's like they pulled the people from off the street, or homeless shelters or something. (the show is coronation street by
the way). I'm not even a shallow person either.

It's too much realness for me.
I think I may stick with Eastenders. It's real enough without looking like the actors were pulled from soup
kitchens.

There was this other show I use to watch, a Canadian soap opera and the characters were awful. They all looked like they were missing chromosomes

I think people ::ducking from incoming shoes:: in England are often more...rough-looking. Too much bad make-up, fake tans, and so on. Try watching ANTM versus
BNTM - it illustrates this point perfectly.
With that said, British soaps are much more realistic than American ones, hence it makes sense to have the cast look like everyday people. |
