So, I'm a manager and there's a rule that no one can have full meals while at work. Snacks are allowed, however. One of my workers ate a foot long chili dog yesterday at work. I had a little talk with him about it because a foot long chili dog does not fall under the "snack" category.
Well, I brought a foam container to work this morning and one of my workers was saying, not in a rude way at all, that I had brought as much food to work as the chili dog culprit. I have two standard size, not those jumbo joints, blueberry muffins in the container for breakfast. He disagreed that two muffins is different from a foot long chili dog because there is not that much of a difference in terms of total size.
And maybe a lot of people would disagree with me. Bottom line is that I would never say something to one of my workers for having a couple muffins at work. I follow the same exact rules they do, so I'm not trying to violate the expectations I hold them to via a couple blueberry muffins.
Thoughts?

It looks very unprofessional in a retail setting and it's not very sanitary for the customer.
