Posts: 10049 (04/09/2009 11:00 PM) Best Wallpaper Maker '02 Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	One of my best friends (my soul sister, the one I could drive a few streets over to since sophomore year to complain about boys) was in a terrible accident last Thursday. I've posted several pics of her here before. She fell asleep behind the wheel. Right now, her mom has consulted with 3 top neurosurgeons and they all say that the best case scenario will be several degrees lower than even Terry Schiavo. Her brain stem is herniated and she cannot control her basic bodily functions, like breathing or her heart. She is one of the most amazing, motivated, beautiful people I know. She graduated from UCLA at 20 and just turned in her apps for a medical program last week. The brain is mysterious. I know many of you are strangers, but many of you I "know", more or less. From what you have said, you both were fortunate to have found each other and have such a strong friendship. I wish nothing but the best and just keep in mind how much happiness she brought you throughout your lives. Lots of prayers for your friend and for you to get through this. Hang in there. A classmate of mine was in a horrible car accident a couple of years ago and the doctors told the family he wouldn't make it, and while it's been a very long road, he has made a miraculous turnaround and continues to improve even today.
