Baby showers are so tedious. But toys are always a safe bet, mobiles and things.

Bottles, diapers, baby bath stuff, wipes, are all safe items that are very much needed

I just went to my oldest sisters about two weeks ago and seemed a bit awkward being only one out of two girls who didn't have a husband and kids yet.
Anyways, I got my sister a set of colorful baby spoons (colors appropriate for a boy of course) and a rattle and the only one to do so.

I wouldn't think it would be awkward to go to my sister's shower...my sisters are single and coming to mine along with many married women, girls in
relationships and single girls.

I think yellow and green are both neutral colors.

I would say diapers, wipes, and things of that nature. Sure its not flashy, but she can never have too much.

Does she have a registry? The hardest would be clothes. I like to do themes. One I've done before is the bathtub with all the soaps/shampoos/bath toys.
Or maybe a big basket (something she could store toys/books in filled with a pack of diapers/wipes/butt cream...etc.

Check her registry if she has one.

Anything off of the registry. Do you know what a registry is?
