Aw it's okay! Me & you both. I wanted a hybrid so much because I'm actually an environmentalist but their just so expensive so I'm getting a
Honda Pilot.

I have a Rav 4 sport and I LOVE it! It drives really well and it's not too big.

However, don't buy Toyota, buy American (especially in this economy)! The Chevy SUVs and Jeeps are great options. The Jeep Patriot is ranked as one of the best SUVs for mileage (and since Jeep is part of Chrysler you can get a ridiculously good deal on one right now). I don't have a Toyota, but my Honda is made in the US of 70% US/Canadian parts. A lot of "American" vehicles can't say that. So I am supporting the US economy. I'm supporting Americans with jobs. Just because I'm not supporting one of the big three, whose financial decisions over the last several decades got them in this situation, doesn't mean I'm not supporting the economy. The big three need a new business model. |

I can't pull up to a union hall in a Toyota and say "oh well, it's mostly made in America with American parts" and have people go "oh ok then". |

I don't think all American cars are bad cars, but they don't hold their value the way Toyotas and Hondas do. My car has depreciated more than what I
had to pay in cash for it after my trade-in. And my car is paid off, so I basically feel like I've wasted more money than the car was ever worth.

The best car we ever had was a Honda. It had amazing gas mileage and it lasted us 14 years. No major problems, and it had over 200,000 kms when were finally
got rid of it.

I had friend that got a Chevy the same year I got my Honda and that poor thing had lost half it's value when mine was worth double hers (they started out 'basically' the same price). |

I hope you people who are buying SUV's aren't complaining about the economy. That is what would make you a hypocrite. Otherwise, it's your money
and I don't have the right to say what you should or shouldn't buy with it.

It's the global economy that's in the shit hole. I'll buy my Hondas and continue to do so. As far as the union example.....I don't care if it's a union employee or a regular guy just having a job. It's an American worker building my car. |
