I've tried 4 different brands with no success. My eye doctor checked that they fit correctly so I guess that's not the problem. I can just tell that
they're in the whole time. My eyes feel heavy and my lower lids can especially feel the contacts.

When I first got contacts, it was uncomfortable for about a week and a half. After that, it was as if I wasn't wearing anything.

How long are you wearing them at one time? I remember when I got my contacts, I had to gradually increase my time wearing them. The doc had be start at 2 hours
for a couple days and increase an hour or two every two days or so. After about 2 weeks, I was fine with them.

It took me awhile to get used to contacts too.

Are you having allergy issues in addition to wearing contacts. Contacts magnify everything!!

I did the gradual thing and still no luck. I hope I'll eventually just get used to them.

I've had serious problems with contacts for a long time. I just prefer to wear my glasses most of the time. I'm actually thinking about having Lasik
eye surgery in the near future. There are many board-certified eye surgeons in my area. I have the money right now, but I'm still a little nervous to go
through with the procedure.
I've always had that nerdy and intelligent Clark Kent-esque reporter look to me for a long time. Some people think I'm a huge geek just because I'm portraying myself in this smart and totally unfashionable manner. The big black-framed glasses I'm wearing right now... Almost identical to the same pair of glasses that Brandon Routh wears in Superman Returns, and it's an image I may want to part with soon enough. But the main thing is seeing better, not so much how I look. I certainly don't mind hiding behind my glasses for now. But it's such a pain to wear them all of the time, especially while driving because I just don't remember to put them on all of the time. That was more problematic with my brief usage with contacts though. My childhood and teenage years were very awkward due to the kids in school making fun of me for wearing big glasses. As I entered adulthood, I felt more comfortable merely wearing glasses. But as I enter my late 20's, it may be time for me to make some serious changes that can give me the type of confidence I need for the rest of my life. Vision is so important, and I so envy those people who naturally have 20-20 vision. |

I have the same problem and it sucks
The longest they'll feel "comfortable" is like 1 hour max. Then afterward my eyes are dry as heck.
I'm wearing Acuvue Oasys and they help slightly.

It took me awhile to get used to mine too. I find it helps me if I put a lot of solution in my eyes after I put them in and then every few hours after that.

I've been wearing contacts for 3 years and they start to bother me after 2 hours. They get super dry, drops don't help, and they get blurry. My doctor
just keeps telling me I'm not putting in drops enough, but every 5 minutes isn't convient. We've tried 2 different brands, but choices are limited
with my high prescription. I hate contacts and only wear them when going out. I wish I liked wearing glasses all of the time. My dad had Lasik and is trying to
convince me to do it with my mom since she wants it done, but I don't know. The thought of it makes me nervous.

I just got contacts as well and they bothered me for about a week and a half. Now I feel like my vision is outstanding and I hardly even notice them anymore.

I tried like 6 different brands before finding one that was even remotely comfortable. And it took me probably 6 months of wearing them everyday until I could
go the whole day without putting eye drops.
