They were going to die and eventually Jacob was going to be his son in law. So it wasn't that bad.

I liked BD for Bella's first book and up until she had Renesmee. I think Jacob's part of the book should be taken out and same with the Volturi crap.
It seemed way too Harry Potter-ish for me reading that. Too technical keeping up with the covens

I only read the first chapter, but I'm thinking on whether or not I should just forget about this book and skip it. I read the first 3 books and I loved
them, but BD, eh I dont know. I already know what happens anyways. But if I do wanna read it, i'll just get it at the library cuz i know for sure i'll
be reading that book only once. While the other 3 are nicely on my shelf and I'll read them over and over, lol.I'm already reading NM for the 2nd time.

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn last night, and I loved it. That line didn't disturb me at all, because in the book it says that Jacob doesn't
feel that way about Renesmee at all yet, he just wants to protect her. Obviously when she is an adult things will be different. I thought it was sweet that
Edward wanted him to take care of Renesmee.
I actually was crying a little in that part where they were saying their goodbyes, it was so sad. |

When I started Bd, it seem alright. I loved the books previously, some things I overlooked.. But Bd caught me by surprise, the pregnancy was the wierdest,
most grose and nasty.. I don't even want to think it.. I kind of edited a lot of it outta my mind.. I didn't hardly read the birth scene. I just
finished it 20 minutes and I think she just wrote to end it, she didn't even care about a bang, it was like a kid storybook!

I liked how with him there was humor and the relationship between him and rosalie was amazing... I hated edward in most of BD |

am I the only one that actually liked this book? I wasn't too thrilled about the Jacob part, but it wasn't as horrible as I thought. I would've
preferred more action b/w the cullens & the volturi, but I was happy that it ended better than Harry Potter ended, where all the important people lived.
I'm not sure if I'll be re-reading the series. Not that they weren't good...but I didn't like the lil anxiety attacks I got while reading them. |

Harry Potter, while a cheesy epilogue, at least had a resolution to the huge build up. Breaking Dawn had absolutely no resolution. They all walked away with
the promise that it "might happen again". Ridiculous.

Yeah, Harry potter did have more action, which was kinda cool.
But I'm hoping, even though the chance is slim to none, that Stephenie will write a 5th (or 6th book if MS gets finished/published) and continue the storyline with the Volturi. |

SMeyer has said she will never continue with Midnight Sun or any of the Twilight books. She released a statement after someone leaked the first twelve chapters
of MS to the entire Internet. Apparently she only gave like 5 people those chapters and someone betrayed her.
Here is a link to that statement: http://stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html Sorry, but I felt like how she handled that entire situation was so unprofessional. Bemoaning the fact that something of hers leaked online. If you're that upset, then you should take whoever leaked to court for copyright infringement, etc., etc. Either that, or name the culprit and watch as thousands of Twilight fans send the person hate mail and completely go postal on them. The amount of times that writers who have been writing epic tales that are beloved by readers the world over are countless (case in point Harry Potter). I distinctly remember the outcry that rose when the New York Times, of all publications, printed a review of The Deathly Hallows two days before the book was released and gave away pivotal plot points that had never been released before. People have written fake books of Harry Potter and posted them online, people went to book releases and spoiled the ending of the books. But you never saw Rowling (during the NYT crisis) release a statement proclaiming 'well you know what, since someone spoiled it for all the readers I'm not going to release the book.' It seriously is like holding drugs in front of an addict and yanking them away at the last second. If I were more into the Twilight saga I'd be pissed at the author for taking away a book that could possibly be the last in the series. I don't know, I could go on all day about the discrepancies I find with not only Smeyer, but the entire Twilight series in general. |
