As long as it's only semi permanent powers we're talking about, then that's ok. The whole point of Dean's character is his humanity now with
spesul Angel powers...IDK. Maybe it won't be as bad as I think!

Maybe God wants Sam alive too. 2 I guess Ruby could have been just a human, if she is working on her own agenda. If she is working with someone else to help Lucifer, why would they trust her if she was just a human? Wouldn't they want her to die too? 3 I think Anna has to be getting orders from someone upstairs. Otherwise there would be a task force size killing squad looking for her. Her disobedience is on par with Lucifer's. There really cannot be any other explanation for her still being alive or on earth. I am still not ready to discuss the fate issue. OMG fate! Poor Dean and Sam. |

I agree with the WTF of Dean getting angelic powers. It just seems weird to me. It better be just one episode. I do like the humanity of him. I mean shoot if
angelic powers are necessary, why can't the angels just do whatever?

Oh Jesus, this better not be the SPN equivalent of the "Yellow Crayon" speech.

I don't know, this show has ways of just surprising the hell outta you, and I'm hoping this is one of those times. I think initial reaction was
completely just wtf no no no.
But I'm hoping they pull it off.

They've been pulling everything else off this season, so you're probably right, Laura.

SassieCas wrote: Seems like if they were going to do that, they would have done it when they pulled him out of hell. They pretty much established that men can't be angels and that angels aren't even human. They also stressed that Dean wouldn't be an angel in the SPN magazine. At the same time, that might be the only way he can take Sammy down. You know how this show is with their parallels. They better not. I have a ton of questons about Sam's power that need to be answered. Does his mojo only work on demons? Is he taking on demonic characteristics? There's a lot that needs to be explained.

I think Sam is going to take on demonic characteristics, thus the whole fear of him going completely darkside. Otherwise, what's the fear of him using his
powers if he'd basically stay the same old Sammy?

okayillgetu wrote:The thing is he's all ready changed from the same old Sammy. I don't know if it's the demon blood or the fact the he's become jaded. Either way, he's not the same Sammy from seasons 1-3. He doesn't care as much about what's right as long as he's the one to take down Lilith...speaking of the she-demon, I wonder if there's any significance to the fact that Lilith is the name of Adam's supposed "first wife". It seems like I can remember reading something about how she went over to the dark side. What could be darker than demons? |

Oh Jesus, this better not be the SPN equivalent of the "Yellow Crayon" speech.Hey now..do not knock the yellow crayon speech! That part
still always makes me tear up. Xander saved the world damn't!
Anyway...I hope or think that Dean getting angel powers will only be tempory. I think he will need them to fight, but like you guys said they've made it a point to express that Dean is simply just a man and it is hard for him to carry this weight. The whole Anna roaming around randomly thing is weird to me...it's just as weird as Ruby roaming around randomly too. Like why hasn't anyone stopped either of them yet..what is there deal? Something about Ruby is just..off, totally. I mean how did she have that knife, how did she know how to fix the colt, how does she know that Sam needs her blood to get strong..how does he KNOW all of this stuff?!!! How did she really escape from hell? Why didn't Lilith just kill her when she had the chance? Why aren't the angels killing her? |

I think Sam isn't the same Sam as from Seasons 1-3 because he lost Dean. For real...for months. And he's STILL getting used to the fact that Dean is
back. I mean, I swear, the first time all season we saw him give any sort of real concern for his brother was this past episode. In Yellow Fever, he
should've been stressed out but he wasn't. Maybe then he didn't understand how torn up Dean was but now it seems like he's got more of a need
to want to take care of his brother.
And I totally agree about why does Ruby know any of that stuff! Ok, here's a thought that Kira and I talked about the other day...what if Ruby is not Meg!Demon but rather what if she's Lillith?! She and Lillith have never been in the same room at the same time on the show. Sooooo...that would make sense. |

I don't really think they could make her Lilith though? Lilith - white eyed demon, Ruby - black. Plus, when she met Alastar...He would have known her and
since L is the superpower he would have been below her and not treated her the way he's treated Ruby. I think if they're gonna make her connected to
the over all arc of the show in any way, it should be as another one of the Yed's kids. I mean we know he had Meg, and the son that Dean shot with the
colt. Who's to say he didn't have more kids? And this is her way of making sure Sam follows through with Daddy's plans for him?
It's the only way I could see them connecting her completely, AND how her blood can up the powers that Sam has, powers he got because of her demonic bloodline in the first place. .... |

I think she's GOT to be connected, too. Otherwise, why keep her ass around so long. I really need them to resolve this Ruby shit sooner rather than later.

He has YED blood in him, a little bit, but he needs more of it to grow stronger and so he is getting that same blood from Ruby. You may be on to something there! It makes sense...but then that's the thing..what WERE YED's plans? I mean ok we know he was Azazel, another fallen angel like Lucifer..perhaps he was looking to overule the devil..either destroy him (by raising his army of kids like Sam) or take him out of office and obtain his role. Maybe Azazel and Lucifer were butting heads and that is why some demons don't like Ruby..like Alistair and Lilith don't like her b/c she is a daughter of YED..which would bring me back to my theory that she might have some "angel" in her too which is why she is seemingly so nice to Sam.. I don't know it is just WEIRD that they are letting her get away with all of this stuff. Fuckin Kripke..he IS the devil
