i know someone who had her spine fused & "cemented." is that what you're having? because, if so, her recovery was amazingly quick.

I want to say maybe a friends mom or friend of a friend? Something like that? I'm drawing a total blank on who it was. Just seeing that made me go
"WHO HAD THAT!"
I just remember someone mentioning it. Being nervous because it was their loved one having surgery and everything going fine. Best Wishes and I hope it helps you and you have a speedy recovery

I work in it all day, every day. What type of fusion are you having? How many levels? Do you have something co-existing with HNP? DId they discuss doing a
laminectomy/discectomy instead of a fusion? You're pretty young for a fusion. Posterior spinal fusion, anterior TLIF or transforaminal lumbar interbody
fusion? They make differences.

I having the L5 S1 Fused. I have a herniated disc that he believes is caused by deformity in my lower back and slippage of my spine. I go back on March 30 to
discuss the final options but the spinal fusion is really the only one he has talked about so far. I feel a little uneducated about all the different types of
procedures.

My mom had two of them. First one was done with rebuilding the discs with metal brackets and then that didn't last, so she had to have another one where
they shaved some hip bone and rebuilt it that way.
