Who watches dollhouse? I like it so far. It's interesting but it's not as good as i thought it would be. Hopefully it gets better..its doesn't seem
like Joss Whedon made it, i expected more from it but its seems promising. What do you think of the storyline? I can kinda guess where its going...Echo becomes
more like Alpha, tension, big fight..etc. I think the plot seems too obvious....unlike in Buffy and Angel where its more complex with plot twists.

I think the show gets better and better each week. I love it. Eliza recently said the show really gets into gear with episode 6, which is next week.

I thought it sounded like a stupid idea when I first heard about it and now I think it's worse than I thought. I'm still watching though. Hopefully it
will pick up. I'm really starting to wonder if Joss Whedon was just a one hit wonder who got lucky with Buffy, because he's never done anything else
that was even close to being as good.

I've been watching it (the only reason I decided to watch is because I love Buffy/Angel & Firefly) - I think it's growing on me...

Angel wasn't as good as Buffy, but it was pretty terrific. Firefly was amazing, but short-lived. And Dr. Horrible was genius. And let's not also
forget Toy Story. Anyway, I think it's still trying to find its stride. It's getting better and more interesting, but I REALLY wish they would let go of some of the obvious metaphors in the dialogue--it feels forced. |

I'm curious to see what happens next week with Ballard and Echo. I've been waiting to see what happens when the two of them start to interact.
I feel as though the episodes have been improving week by week. Hopefully that continues. I think part of it for me is that other characters beyond Echo are starting to build up into their own interesting entities, including other dolls like Victor and Sierra. |

I honestly think the show sould have been better with another actress. Eliza is ok... but I just can't believe sometimes.

I'm a huge fan of Joss's shows so I've been trying really hard to like this show but I just can't get into it. Some of the plots have been
interesting but sometimes it just feels like a chore to watch.
I'm going to give it till next week since episode 6 is supposed to be an amazing episode where Joss really hits his stride. But after that episode if I'm still not loving it I'll stop watching. |

The episodes have been OK. I hate hearing about how next week's is supposed to be amazing.
I really like this cast though. Which is the main reason why I am watching. |

I'm watching too because I thought it sounded like an interesting show idea. It's not quite living up to the expectations yet though. I'm not sure
about it yet either. Like everyone else, I'm trying to hang in there and see if it gets better.
Sometimes Eliza carries her Zen attitude when she's not in the Dollhouse. That part bothers me. But, here's hoping. |

I think the show is taking time to find it's feet just like Buffy and Angel did. I don't think Joss has been very involved as he has many other
projects he's working on. It's no suprise that last week was written by Minear who's one of Joss's best writers. I read that Epensen is
writing one, hopefully he can get Fury, Goddard, or DeKnight also. Even with other writers Joss added his special touch to scripts such as the Clock tower
scene between Buffy and Jonathon from "Earshot" and Spike's unforgettable "you'll never be friends" speech to B/A from "Lovers
walk". You could really tell when he was away from Angel while he was developing Firefly (can you say Jasime) and when he returned (hello Illyria ). Next
week supposidly he had free range so we'll see. Oh and to stay on topic my guess is that alpha is

Why is he busy working on other projects? What could be more important than this? How many chances to fail is he going to get?

folkbitts wrote:Well, he was already committed to the comic and the IMDB has him working on 2 movies. I think he'll never invest himself that much again as he got his heart broken with Firefly. He surrounds himself with talented people so as long as he takes at least some involvement it'll be OK, esp with Minear running things. As far as Alpha I think the person rumoured was a misdirection as he looks nothing like the glimpse of what we saw. Besides I think Echo and Alpha were friends in the way that Sierra and Victor are. (you'll see what I mean next week) But what do I know I should have learned long ago not to second guess him as I'm usually wrong |

I am having major posting issues!
Anyway, I thought the casting of Alpha had been confirmed after the set designer posted those pictures on his site and then took them down immediately because there was a shot of Alpha in one of them. Along those lines, after seeing his panoramas of the dollhouse, it looks more like Wolfram and Hart than ever.

03/20 episode was definitely the best one yet. LOVED the fight scenes. It felt like classic Whedon.

I just saw the new episode. The fight scene took me back to the Buffy days. The episode was really good. I can't believe what happened to Sierra and
Melanie.

That episode was SO good. I was nervous when Joss was talking it up so much, but it totally delivered.

And Dr. Horrible was genius. And let's not also
forget Toy Story.
