Because I'm really short, and my jeans need to be hemmed! But I don't like the regular hem, I want to keep the original hem!
How hard is it to hem jeans and keep the original hem?

Are you doing it or taking it somewhere to be done?

Well I was going to ask my friend's mother if she could do it, but if not, I suppose I will be trying it myself.

Oh, well I'm not sure how hard it is in terms of doing it yourself. I always get my jeans hemmed at Nordstrom and they charge a bit more for keeping the
original hem but it takes about the same amount of time for them to get them back...maybe just a bit longer.

Yeah, we don't have a Nordstrom around here.

Question about Nordstrom's hemming: you know how it's free if you buy the pants from them? Is that just a free regular hem? How much extra is an
original hem?

It's really easy to sew yourself. I do it all the time. It takes about an hour by hand since I don't own a sewing machine.
