That's pretty much it. The people I know do it primarily for the environmental concern, and I've thought about doing it, myself. But I have very light
periods, anyway, so I rarely go through that many tampons. I might try it out next year, just to see how it works for me.

I don't fully understand TSS, but it's pretty much only linked to tampons, right?
Although it could be because so few people wear the cups that there are no statistics yet, and we'll find out that you can get TSS from them as well if they ever catch on! |

Using cloth pads is not gross. After you use them you put them in the washer. It's not like the diva cup where it goes back in without any real cleaning.

I'm sure one or two women were grossed out by the idea of putting their fingers anywhere down there. Talk about OBs here and there are plenty of women who
get skeeved out because there's no applicator.

Some women still are grossed out by putting their fingers down there. I used to post on a message board when I was trying to have a child. Some specialists
recommend you check your cervix to help time the ovulation process. You would be surprised how many women were freaked out by the idea of having to touch their
cervix.
For the record, I love OB tampons (not the new ones, but old school absorbent OBs). |

I love OBs, too. My only issue is that they're like sand. They get everywhere somehow. The other day my husband found one in a pen holder.

Do you clean your washing machine after you wash clothes and sheets? Or do you just allow the sweat, food, discharge, semen and possibly fecal matter stick to
the insides?

baby, read the post before mine. And go have some coffee or something. You're a half step behind on the JJB today.

Actually, if anything you named gets on something I own and would normally wash, I throw it out.

I don't throw those things out, but I do hand rinse prior to putting them in the wash so, yeah (except the er, aforementioned sheets. TMI). I'm leaving this post now. Too many bodily fluids in here. |
