Is Planet Hollywood good? How about Ballys? I have no clue what would be a nice hotel for a couple to stay in.. that's near all the excitement!

Mirage, MGM, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio are some of the more big deal ones.

My friend used to go to Vegas all the time with his friends and I believe they would stay at the Hard Rock (I'll double check) and they liked it because a
lot of young people stayed there.

Bally's is centrally located with reasonably priced rooms. It is also connected to Paris, which has Le Burger Brasserie, which has the best hamburgers
ever.

Bally's is awful. Planet Hollywood is good. It really depends on what you want to do. If you plan on spending time at the pool or spa, be sure to pick a
hotel with a good pool and spa. (With most pools, you have to be a hotel guest to access them and with some of the spas you have be a hotel guest.) If you
prefer to stay in one spot, be sure to pick a hotel with good bars, restaurants, shopping, etc.

Mecury aren't you from Vegas? or living there? Do you know when it's cheapest to book a vacay there? A 3-6 months in advance or what?

zippityboomboom wrote:It's very easy to get around the Strip (and even to and from the Strip if you stay at an off-Strip casino), so I wouldn't take hotel location into consideration much. You've got the Deuce, monorail, monorails between certain properties, and various free shuttles. |

FireBirdGoddess wrote:Yep, I live here. The off months are the cheapest, followed by any time during the week. Spring and summer and Fridays through Sundays are always going to be pricier. Most deals can actually be found last minute. Check each casino's website for their latest deals, though - some you can get months in advance if you book by a certain date. |

Mirage is my favorite because it's centrally located on the Strip.
