I don't know though since I've never tried it. I'm just speculating.

And I'm guessing you can empty the Diva cup whenever you want to, you don't have to leave it in all day. I don't even use a menstrual cup but some of these reactions strike me as a little hysterical.

But then you use them because you have to and you deal and it's not so bad. So I'm thinking there are no words that could possibly describe this cup that would make me be like, "omg, that sounds like an AMAZING experience. I wish I could have my period all the time just so I could wear that cup every day!" But maybe it's not so bad when you actually give it a try.

I know several women who have had used similar product and loved it. Obviously it's not for the clean-freak squeamish types. That said, one friend who used it said when she was going to be somewhere she wouldn't be able to clean it for too long, she'd use a backup plan like a tampon. It's like using cloth diapers, IMO. Most of the time, it's great makes sense, other times, you go for the disposables.

You can't hop to the sink with your pants down if you're in a public bathroom. And some woman bleed heavier than others.
