In 2004, JC Chasez was doing promo for his solo album. A friend of a friend had just gotten a DJ gig in Kansas City like a few months before and was hosting
this bowling thing with JC. My friend Katy and I roadtripped down to Kansas City to go to the bowling thing and meet up with Skandelis and some other people we
knew.
Sleepn lives in Topeka or some bullshit Kansas town so I jokingly told her she should come, knowing that she's a fucking weirdo and wouldn't. She thinks I hate her for that (?). |

My sister is a unionized teacher, she is for merit pay. She says most of her co-workers are. She said the teachers who are against it at her school are
horrible at their job

I'm not a teacher, but I wish my job had merit pay. I'd do whatever I needed to for a pay raise. My co-worker said you get a 5% pay raise if you speak
Spanish, best believe I cracked open my old Spanish text books so I can take the test to get my pay raise

I assumed merit pay to be based on the merit of the teacher, not the student. Obama has always said he wants to get rid of poorly performing teachers, build an
army of new teachers and provide career long education and training for all teachers. So when merit pay is thrown in the mix, I was thinking it's for
teachers who go above and beyond a BA and their teacher's license.
I don't think it's fair to base it on what a student can do because really, was a student can do in school is based on their home life and family. |
