When I turn the computer on? I tried doing "always hide" but that just hides them, it doesn't stop the program from openning though
How do I have icons by my clock not show up?

Right click on your start bar
Properties Under "Notification Area" click customize Choose which ones you want to hide. |

That's how I did it but it just hides them under the little arrow, it doesn't actually stop the program from starting when the computer is turned on

Start Menu - Run - Type MSCONFIG, then hit the startup tab and disable what you want. Be careful though, you can really screw stuff up in there.

Thanks! Hopefully that'll work. It was stuff like the Amazon Download Manager and the thing for my external hard drive
