Back in the day when she danced her booty off she wore flat shoes or if it was a heel, at least a sturdy one. Not this stiletto crap! So, yes, the heels are a big part for the lack of dancing.

She should have done like an Onyx Hotel Tour kind of thing again. The circus theme just really throws it off and is being over played.

I hope you're right. It's sad to see her not performing to her ability. She still hasn't regained that classic Britney magnetism that draws you in.

People weren't freaking out then. This was during the "amazing" Dream Within a Dream tour that people were saying she was so amazing in. She was never that great of a dancer. Past or present, her backup dancers were/are the ones busting their asses. She's pretty much just doing that drag foot thing, strutting, wiggling her hips and waving her arms. There were some good parts in the Slave 4 U, though. Like you said, she's very stiff and robotic. Her performances are pretty much based on shock value (i.e. VMAs 2000 & 2001).

Her performances are pretty much based on shock value (i.e. VMAs 2000 & 2001). exactly. people pick the FEW slave/toxic performances that have any real sense of choreography and act like that's what she's been doing all her life. personally, i don't think her dancing was ever horrible, just not as technical as people made her seem. she's an entertainer, and bottom line is Circus is one hell of a visual show. So I'd say she's doing fine.

Her dancers did a great job You can rehearse the moves all day long, but you can't rehearse what it's going to feel like for the first few nights in front of an audience of thousands when people are saying your entire career depends on the success of the show. Preparation doesn't always remove anxiety, people are different in that respect - some are fine as long as they know they've hyper-prepared, some will always suffer nerves no matter how much they put into prep.
