I'm sure it depends on the brand and prescription but I'd like to get an idea. My vision insurance covers up to $500 so I'm just curious if that
will be enough or not.

i have astigmatism, so i'd be paying about $160-200 for clear ones and out of my ASS ($300+) for colored.

Uh, yes. Unless you have weak ass eyes and need super prescription lens. If I change my contact lens once a month, which is rare, I'll pay $100 a year max.

Yay! My eyes aren't all that bad, and I don't even think I'll wear contacts every day.

$200. But my contacts are a little more expensive because I have astigmatism.

I pay $18 per box, each box lasts approx 12 weeks. So the total for a year would be around $150.

$100, if that. I wear my glasses a lot more now that I have frames that I love.

$275 I have different prescriptions for each eye, and they're two week disposables. I don't wear them everyday, so they last about 18 months to two
years for me.

Wow. That's awesome your insurance covers $500! My parents' insurance used to give me $200 a year for contacts AND $200 a year for glasses (which
apparently is unheard of) but now I just get $200 a year. Going to a new opthamologist tomorrow so I don't know how many boxes that will get me, but
hopefully a good amount!

Didn't realize there was another contact lens topic...hehe
The cheapest website that i've found to order contacts is lens.com and depending on the brand and what kind of promotions they're having i've paid as little as $200 for a year supply and as much as $300. |
