I have a solia ( 1-1/4)from folica.com. Works pretty well. I have also heard others rave about sedu.

I have a Revlon straightener. My hair is pretty much straight, and I only use it to smooth it out, so it's perfect for my needs. It's ceramic and
tourmaline, which is good, and it has a temperature control with memory so I don't have to remember where I set it. I'm not sure how well it would work
for someone with really curly hair, but if your hair is wavy it's a good value priced straightener.
