If any?
In the last month, our Pier 1 has closed and it was announced yesterday that our Old Navy is leaving 
To be honest, it's scary what all is going on right now. Oh yeah, I forgot Steve and Barrys and Goodys

Several restaurants (one of which has been here since I was BORN), Goody's and many locally owned businesses like boutiques and hair salons.

Steve & Barrys, Linens n Things, and Circuit City are the only ones I can think of right now.
Oh...and my old job (I got out of there just in time!), but it wasn't a well-known store and they did themselves in by choosing expensive locations and charging too much in towns that aren't exactly wealthy

um..Circuit City, Linens and Things....that's about all I can think of. The retail company I work for is doing okay....at least well enough that we are
still getting our raises this year.

Our version of Pier 1. Which might be called The Pier?
Side story - in the first weeks of January, I was at the clothing store NEXT to The Pier (which had huge going out of business sale signs), and this store I was at had huge 70% off signs, and I asked when this store was going out of business, and the salesgirl was like, "Um, it's called an After-Christmas Sale." Bitch! You can understand my confusion! |

I know our Jeep/Chrysler and our Chevy/Cadillac dealerships have both closed.
