I have had several people ask me to make them a diaper bag.
Pockets on the side? Inside of the bag? Anything else? |

Something that's easy to clean.

It needs to have alot of space inside but not be bulky and a pain to carry. The pockets need to reinforced well because you stretch them out trying to fit
bottles and stuff in there. I second the easy to clean, you drag those bags everywhere with you.

Awesome, thank you for the suggestions!
I'm going to attempt one today if I have time. |

Oh also, do you need one of those things that you lay the baby on in it or do you not care really?

I don't carry one yet, but throwing in a call for a wide, comfortable strap!

A dark color! sometimes you need to put it down in a public restroom or park or something and those pastel bags really show the dirt.
A changing pad is nice to have but not essential. an outside pocket or two for mom's water bottle/baby's bottle or cup/cell phone |

I've had a few and my favorite is the Fleurville Mothership. It's washable (fabric covered in plastic), has tons of space, two decent sized side
pockets, came with a wipe case and a little zippered wrist bag that goes inside for extra storage (I put my wallet in that). LOVE IT! So much better than the
fabric ones I've carried. The strap is wide and padded, so it's comfotable to carry around - and the strap is slip proof, so it doesn't slide off
my shoulder.

Stretchy pockets and a lot of space are a must. And, imo, changing pads are really essential too because if I have to change my baby in public, I'd rather
have something to lay down of my own on the changing table. I don't know how many other babies have been on that without guards underneath.

I didn't mean that it's not necessary to put the baby on something when you change them, I meant a dedicated pad is not essential. You can always keep
a small towel or blanket in the bag for that.
