I've always wondered how women find out that they're pregnant while they're on the pill. I mean, you have no clue that you've conceived so you
keep taking the pill. And most women don't show until 3 or 4 months, right? I personally take 3 packs back-to-back so how would I know if I conceived
during the first pack? I hope this question makes sense.
And then that leads me to my next question -- what happens to the baby if you keep taking the pill? |

It happens. BC is not 100% effective.

I have to say, I've wondered that myself.
And how did you find out that you were pregnant? |

The thing with low-hormone BC (like OTC Lo and others) is that because the hormone you get is a lower concentration, you have to make sure you take it around
the exact same time each day, because it's more difficult to keep the optimal level of hormone in your body when there is less of it to begin with.
Not that that happened to you, but we learned about that in class (pharmacy school) and I think that is something the manufacturers should be really clear about. I can't find anything about BC being harmful to the fetus, maybe there are other studies though.

I mean 13 years is a long time to be on the pill...

Although I've heard more cases of that with the Depo shot.

Well it takes awhile to get all that birth control out of your system... I wouldn't expect to get pregnant the day I stopped taking it. I have been on the
pill off an on for about 7 years, and I have never gotten pregnant either.

Thank you everyone..
Yea, Sabrina..Nicole is very excited, she's always asked me if she was ever going to have a brother or a sister. It'll be nice for her to have a sibling. I'm kinda worried though that my boyfriend went crazy telling people...it's early! |

That's... what I'm taking.
