Also the music did almost cut off someone..there were two guys accepting for something and the music started as the second guy started.

What hatred was Sean referencing? Were the Westboro Church people protesting outside the Oscars?

Because of the political times, maybe Milk has a chance for a major upset.

I kept going back and forth between Slumdog and Milk. This is the first year I have actually seen all 5

Damn, they really brought out the big guns for Best Actor. De Niro, Kingsley and Hopkins? Douglas ain't no slouch either, and Brody's one of the finest
younger winners there's been recently. Best Actress was nothing compared to that line-up.
I hate that they don't show clips of the nominees though. I want to see what they're nominated for. Also hated the camera moving during the memoriam segment. Totally took you out of the moment. Bad call, whoever made it. |

This is a little late-- but I was out of the room when they showed the clips of the past actor winners and I heard someone accept their speech and say
"this goes to show there are some nuts in the academy" but I didn't see who said that-- and I know I recognized the voice. Did anyone see that?
Thanks!

Does Spielberg give out the Best Picture every year? Didn't he give it out last year too?
