What are some good brands? Any that are reasonable priced?

Have you looked on cosmeticsdatabase.com? They rate cosmetics and other beauty products based on their contents and how likely they are to be cancer-causing or
dangerous in some other way. Unfortunately a lot of what they like best are small, web-only brands.
Reasonably priced is a relative term when it comes to natural prodcuts I've found. Almay has a new line out called Pure Blends that seems affordable to me (I just paid $6 for a lip gloss, not too bad IMO). |

I am looking more at cleanser, moisturizers, etc. Make up a little bit.

I've tried Juice Beauty and Burts Bees. I really like the juice beauty moisturizer but wasn't crazy about their cleanser. I really like the burts bees
deep cleanser(my only issue with it is that they are owned by Clorox)
I've also tried this lemon scrub cleanser from suki as an exfoliator. I really like it. I haven't had as much luck in the makeup department. I like nvey eco but the compact foundation is a bit cakey. I just ordered some samples of the liquid foundation. I also just bought the Plant Love powder by Cargo but I don't really know what I think of it yet. |

I did get a couple samples of Juice Beauty stuff and it is not that bad. I haven't tried their cleansers though. Also a lot of their stuff is more than
what I want to spend right now. What did you not like about the cleanser?
Burts Bees does have good cleansers, but I want to try something different. I am thinking more on products you can get at places say like Target (not Walmart though) than Ulta or Sephora.

Not a bad idea in someway, but considering I may be living on the streets in two or three months not really - if things do not change soon that is.

I didn't like the Juice Beauty cleanser mainly because it smelled bad, like rotten apples or something. Also, I like more foamy cleanser. It makes me feel
like it is cleaning better.

I've been happy with Jason, Alba, and Kiss My Face products.

Anyone heard of Avalon Organic? Are they any good? redbuttons7 wrote:I kind of like cleanser to foam too, but not too much - even though it is not a good thing. |

Jason, Alba, Kiss My Face, Avalon, etc. are all well-known "natural" brands but overall they really are no better than your average big-box store
brands in terms of chemical content, at least according to the cosmetics website I posted earlier.
Audrey Organics is a brand that's good across the board it seems in terms of lack of dangerous ingredients. But it's pricey. Rysi, if you're looking to save money why not do make some homemade products? I know apple cider vinegar and aspirin (not Tylenol, aspirin) are popular ingredients. Just google them for recipes. A cheap cleanser that a lot of people seem to like is this Grandpa's Old-Fashioned Oatmeal soap. I think it's in the $3 range and can be bought off drugstore.com. I've also seen it at health-food stores near me. |

Since you mention about making a products and it is an idea. Just looked up some [homemade] cleanser and all of the ones I saw had some form of exfoliate in
it. I am using a Clarisonic and they do not want you do use an exfoliate with it.
Thanx for all the suggestions everyone. |
