Nope. Strep is very serious if left untreated, so if you think you have it, go to the doctor immediately.

No. I had tonsillitis recently but most definitely not strep. They even checked for strep twice, which was a blast! But yeah, this was much grosser looking.

Nope. Tonsilitis is inflammation (swelling) of the tonsils & not contagious. Strep is an infection in the throat & is contagious in the first few days.
The both hurt like crazy though.
