I am pissed that I stayed up to watch the Blake/Tsonga match last night. Blake didn't even look like he wanted to be there the whole time, even before he
was gettin his ass kicked!

Djokovic vs Roddick ...Djok annoys me more than Andy...so go Andy!

Why is there such a debate over Novaks last name? Seriously, I feel like for the last year I've been hearing the commentators say he prefers it this way
and then oh no, actually he likes it this way now. Fucking annoying.

Djokovic retired! I didn't know who to root for. I wanted Roddick, but thought Djokovic would do better against Fed in the semis, so I kinda wanted Djok. I don't think Roddick stands a chance against Fed. Now my only hope for him to be knocked out before the final is Del Potro......or I can hope for that long awaited Nadal/Fed hardcourt grand slam final, but Tsonga makes me nervous for Nadal as well. |

The heat utterly cleaned Nole's clock. Really embarrassing.
Andy , though he has to stop hitting his FH like a low ranked WTA player if he wants to not get his ass kicked in the semis.

I wasn't too impressed with Andy's game in the first set, but he obviously picked it up. In my head, I knew I had to cheer for Andy because Nole's
only 50 points behind Roger, but I was rooting for Nole the whole time. So I'm sad but happy with what happened.
I felt bad for Djokovic because he really did seem to have a tough time out there, but that kid needs to work on his conditioning. Seriously work on it. But I don'tblame him- 142 degrees? No thank you. |

It was hot, but I don't buy that it was 142 on that court. They wouldn't have kept playing with the roof open if it had been that insane.
Edit: I just saw Novak only needs the USO to complete his own grand slam of retirements. Nice.

I think the surface of the court itself was 142 degrees, not the air or even the air around it.

Another freaking retirement FAWK.
I was hopeful after the first set but it's like Nole never recovered from sitting his ass down for the break after a solid first. Killed him. The way the on court temperature kept rising was bugging me out. It's -50'C where I am right now, screw the mind melting heat, I'd rather freeze my ass off. Shitty way to bow out, especially against Roddick, but I understand this one a helluva lot more than the others.
GO ROGER!! |

Novak retires.....a fair amount
GO ROGER indeed!
Also - I duno what the ESPN commentators are like, but on Eurosport, they are obsessed with making wild predictions about Andy Murray and going on about how he beat Federer in some meaningless exhibition tournament so THEREFORE is the Worlds best player.......honestly I want to watch it on mute half the time |

Ouch del Potro.
And good for Federer for defending all the points from last year. I read this is his 19th consecutive grand slam semi-final, that's almost five years always among the four best
About Djokovic, he's the opposite of Federer and Nadal in terms of attitude. Outside the court he's really outgoing, telling jokes about everyone and with supposedly "great personality". On the court he's a 12 year old spoiled kid, as soon as things don't go his way he either gets a lousy attitude or retires with things like sore throat or similar things that happened in the past. Can't really see a guy like that as a great champion, just a funny kid

Wish Dokic could have won though, would have made for a wonderful story.

Mmmm I dunno - Federer was magnificent tonight but Andy is hitting some really brilliant form and looks very confident, it could be closer than normal.
