Do you and the person you are quoting work in radio? You also apparently know nothing of what happened in the Madison and Ohio radio markets. When Clear Channel in Madison wanted to switch from Air America to sports programming (here) the backlash was so severe that they had to return to progressive programming - here. And yes, you would be fucking retarded to follow anything blindly. Did anyone say that we should? People are throwing shit fits and we're not even one week into an Obama Administration. Actually I take that back, people in this post are throwing fits - polls show that something like 68% of Americans think Obama is doing a good job.

I don't really care, I don't listen to talk radio, but I've never heard of people demanding liberal talk radio, it's just been the liberals trying to stop conservative talk radio or silence them. I am curious to know, if you don't listen to talk radio where did you hear that liberal radio is failing? Obviously there are MILLIONS of sources of information, I am just wondering who is saying this. As for NPR, it's like PBS for the radio. So I guess its liberalism depends on your point of view. It's often a target of conservatives (as has been PBS - remember when they wanted to shut it down?) but studies show there is no bias. shrugs

But I don't think the reason there isn't more progressive radio is because they are being held back from making it. It may have been the case in certain areas but I'm sure that isn't the norm. But I admit I need to do more reading on the fairness doctrine and things like that. and yeah, my avatar is awesome.

But do you ever "hope" he fails? Knowing his failure is the couuntry's failure? Isn't that, well disloyal. The irony is that Limbaugh and the other clowns would have you believe they are bedrock defenders of this country, that they love it more than the rest of us, more than anything. That's a lie. limbaugh just told us so, emphatically. It's not the country they love. Its the attention........... I hope he fails...So that What? The defamation of conservatisim Linbaugh represents with stand vindicated? The Republicans will pick up a few seats in the midterm election? Limbaugh's "side"--his word--will score points? Is this only a game? No lives at stake, no future on the line, no planet in the balance? Just a game? I hope he bricks this free throw. I hope he fumbles that pass. I hope he fails. And to hell with the country. The country doesn't matter, the "side" does. And Limbaugh's side seems angry in power and angry out. It's as if anger is all they really have.
