Among other new releases, the Lionsgate horror flick " My Bloody Valentine 3-D " opened at the No. 3 spot with $21.9 million.
The movie did well for a horror film! I am going to see it this week with a group of friends! I am so excited. I can't wait. |

JJB convinced me to see this movie and I'm glad I did. I had NO intention of seeing it ever, 2D or 3D. But imo, the only reason TO see it is for the 3D so
I'm glad I went. (or I guess if you're a Jensen fan, which I was not and still am not) It did have me guessing a bit. But I kept closing my eyes at the
gory parts which I kept thinking "silly, this is why you're HERE." And I laughed when they pointed guns at us or something. Just cuz you know
it's done for effect.
But I kept taking off my glasses to see what the screen looked like. It's not like the old 3D's where parts were abnormally bigger than the rest of the scene. Here the 3D parts were just really fuzzy. I guess it's calibrated for 20/20 vision b/c parts of it were still blurry for me, even with the glasses. I don't know why anyone would see it in the theatre in 2D. |

Maybe I'm desensitized to the 3D cause I saw almost all of the 3D movies that were out last year so, though there were parts of the movie that were cool
cause of the 3D, I wasn't insanely impressed by it. It was more like I could see the parts where they were going to do it coming. I thought the coolest
part was one that wasn't even 3D. At the end when Tom was knocking out the lights and then Harry as the miner would appear as each light was getting blown
out? I thought that was awesome. I'm totally not into gore films, and am not even gonna lie, Jensen was the reason I went but it was okay...mindless
entertainment for an hour and 40 mins with the pretty mixed in.

Yeah, I didn't hate it...but I also didn't love it. I think that's partially cause I'm incapable of loving movies like this regardless of WHO
is in it.
